Jon is working on uniting the North now it seems, the Greyjoys took the ships, maybe they plan to beat their uncle to Danny? Dorne is now run by the sand snakes HISS WITH ME SISTERS, HISSS!! And what do all three of these groups have in common? They hate the Lannisters. Littlefinger will side with the winners and brings the Vale, Riverrun and the Tully's will definitely side with Jon and all they have to do is over throw the Frey's to take back that kingdom. That leaves the Lannisters and the Tyrells, a precarious alignment at best. A few key assassinations and that would crumble, especially if it could be made to look like one side was responsible for it, by say a skilled girl who has no name but has learned the trade from the best.

All of this comes together to unite the Seven Kingdoms against their impending doom.

but they established that the previous season with Oberyn Martell, they didn't really help the story with everything else.

I think people should wait until they see how Dorne is weaved into the overall story before they get too upset about it. It has been a pretty minor part of the story up until now, maybe a bit disappointing, but I'm willing to see where the writers take it.

Well they had a coup executed as a result of the inaction regarding that desire for revenge in Dorne. I'd say that's something pretty significant.

To me the resolution of this show has been obvious for a while now. Its pure theory with no book knowledge below but just in case no one wants to see it.
Spoiler!

I think Arya is really the only real plot line that doesn't have a clear answer to where it is headed.
Man, I don't know if its the fact that I dont like the character or something else, but i just cannot imagine the Game of Thrones ending well for Dany.

Ya, I don't understand the complaints of "this storyline isn't going anywhere". If you don't know how it ends, how can you know it is not going anywhere?

A major issue is that the show really hasn't done a good job of illustrating how powerful Dorne is a whole. The Martells command a sizeable army with various vassal houses. A few shots showing a large army at their disposal or a large fleet of boats really would have gone a long way. The show really should have shown how much of a threat Dorne actually was to the Iron Throne.

The angle I'm most disappointed in right now is the Iron Borne. As a whole, they're acting like a bunch of louts. I would have expected them to be a lot more reasonable and honorable in their actions. Do we even have time to properly deal with this civil war they've created in the last few episodes?

Maybe that is how they've always been, thus them always seeming to get owned by the mainland.

With the dire wolves getting killed here & there, it makes me wonder when the dragons are going to start getting it. Daenerys has yet to take a hit like that.

At least the only Dire Wolf the White walkers got converted is Summer. The rest have been beheaded. Lady is gone, Rob's is gone, Bran's is a zombie, Rickon's has no head, what happened to Arias? Or was Arias the one that got killed by Joffre in S01? So what happened to Lady in that case.

So really the only two Dire Wolfs left are Jons and one of the girls'.

Anyone else more upset when the wolves get killed? People or characters die and I'm meh. One of the dire wolves die and it gets me.

This weeks Dire Wolf death got me a bit. He stood his ground, bought his master time to get away and in the end will be an ice zombie dog. Could be an interesting story line since Bran has warged through Summer a bunch and could potentially be used as a spy Bran can warg through to see where the throng is at. Maybe...

The Dire Wolf dying this week is what made me realize that the situation was serious. Until that point it was "hmm, how are they going to get away from this".

I would have liked it a little better if the dog hadn't gone full Leeroy Jenkins, but dogs aren't really know for their tactical brilliance I guess.

I'm still kind of curious how it is that Meera and Bran escape. Hodor looked like he had maybe 60 seconds left there, and then all the wights bust through the door and run the direction that they could have escaped in. How much ground could they have really covered with Meera dragging Bran?

I think it is a bit obvious as well, but I think based on how they show is going that a lot will happen between here and then. The actress that plays the character who is training with Arya was asked if she knew Jon was still alive and she said she did well in advance. Because they tried to keep it quiet as much as possible, one would have to imagine that she will have something to do with Jon in Season 6.

Isn't Catelyn Stark supposed to be alive, still? What am I missing there?

Personally I don't mind it being a PART of the story, but they aren't doing a very good job at developing it. Obviously it will be important, but come on, keep it moving.

Great point about showing how powerful Dorne is. That would have helped a lot. I am also really wondering how powerful the Whitewalkers are. Anyone thinking this goes the same direction Battle of the Five Armies went? Everyone attacking each other until a common enemy shows up?

Yeah what a weird question. Easily one of the most memorable moments of the show.
