Bennett finishes the game with 2 primary assists, +1, 4pim (1 interference, 1 roughing)
Kingston lost the game 3-2. North bay leads the series 2-0.
Next game Tuesday in Kingston

Game 4 is Thursday. Game 5 is Friday. Game 6 is next Sunday.
If the Fronts lose 2 of the next 4 games, we could potentially see Bennett re-join the Flames as early as the Oilers game on Saturday, or more likely, the Arizona game on April 7.

I want to be either a really short run or for them to go all the way. It would be great for him to be available for Calgary in the last 4 games.

Dumb question:
If Kingston loses and we call up Bennett does a year off his ELC get burned?
I don't think it will be 9 games.

If he plays 10 NHL games (includes playoffs) it will take a year off his ELC.

If plays 10 NHL playoff games I have no problem with him burning a year of his contract.

Will it count towards the 4 call-up limit per team? Because if I'm correct, the Flames are at 3, and maybe are saving the 4th one for Sam.

Sureloss will have the answer but I think it does not count against the 4 call up rule. If it does perhaps that is what they're saving it for.

If the Flames call up Sam Bennett to the NHL it will use their last remaining non-emergency call up.

I think when Bennett's season is done it is more likely they just send him to Adirondack.

If Kingston does get swept by North Bay on Thursday, do we call up Bennett and play with the pros, or do we drop him down to the AHL?
My guess would be him joining Calgary considering the remarkable season he's had with Kingston and hopefully he can help us push to the playoffs.
Who would we take off the lineups to replace Sam Bennett?

I think Bennett goes to Addy. Would be silly to waste the last call up in the middle of a playoff push

I hope to see the same lineup from tonight in our game tomorrow.
Our first line is pretty solidified
That 4th line needs to stay together until reason is given to break them up
Raymond actually had a pretty solid game..nothing fancy but had puck control and has looked better over the last few. He is a streaky player so its tough to take him out.
Granlund sent back, Jooris or Colborne upstairs and Bennett in?
(this is all assuming it was done today but as we have seen from this team, any given night a player can make a solid case to stay in the lineup.)

Right now I dress both Ferland and Shore over Granlund. Love Granlund, BUT size IS an issue, and Ferland and Shore are better on the 4th line.
Truth is, the Flames don't win today if not for their bottom six dominating posession in the offensive zone.

Yes please to Bennett in a Flames Jersey a micro-second after Kingston gets bounced. That kid does not need the AHL.

So if Kingston are swept Sam could theoretically make his debut on April 4th against the Oilers?
He could be the difference-maker we desperately need in the last 2 games of the season against the Kings and Jets. In such a tight race I don't see how Treliving could deny Bennett the chance to propel the Flames to the playoffs.

I'm not so sure they don't use their last call up on Bennett. Who could the Flames call up that would be better than Bennett. The guy has his skating legs now and would make an immediate impact with the Flames. And talk about motivation - as Hartley puts it - "it would be like letting a caged tiger loose".
I guess the one risk is if they needed to call up a D-man, they would lose that option, but for Bennett it might be worth it.
