He isn't that good consistently. He has the potential to be that good and twice now this season has stood on his head to steal two points. Three times if you say the Pittsburgh game (but we dominated them overall, so it's hard to say he stole it).

That's the otherside of Lack's potential. To be ####ing abysmal and give up weak, gross goals against weak, gross players.
Especially considering LA has two more against the Edmonton "free square on the bingo card" Oilers
Oilers have been playing loosey goosey these days though (nothing to really worry about anymore), so I'm not sure every game is a given against them. You never know.
“@Avalanche: Roy confirms that Pickard will start tonight. Varly is day to day with a groin injury.”

Tonight's games: ANA @ VAN, PIT @ SJ
A regulation loss for San Jose tonight, and I'd say we could drop San Jose out of the race. They'd need a 12-3 record thru their remaining 15 games to reach 96 points.
$10 on WPG, MIN, and LA, all winning in regulation = $72
$3 on WPG, MIN, and LA, all going to SO (tie) = $645
$3 on WPG + LA going to SO, MIN winning in regulation = $153
Winnipeg's loss is huge. San Jose is barely on the fringes right now, so as long as we maintain our own play, we only need one more team to fall out. It would be kind of neat if the Jets did sneak in themselves, but as long as they are the only team treading water or worse, then we need them to keep losing.
It will be very interesting to see how they rebound from last night. Went from the motivating and energizing comeback to the utter deflation of being Pavelec'd.
