Meh, it's just noise. RC is a hitters park but not that much of a hitters park I suspect it's just a bit of babip influenced bad luck combined with a still small sample size.

Yes, I expect you're likely correct. It is one of the weirder things going on with the team at the moment, though.
Dickey gets out of a first inning 2nd and 3rd, no out jam. In the next half inning, Norris issues a bases loaded, 1 out walk to give the Jays a lead. Hopefully they can take advantage of the situation!

Nice to see the Jays' offense come alive a little bit here, and a great start from Happ. Very hard to complain about your 5th starter having a sub-4.00 ERA. They went into Baltimore with a 4.5 game lead and will be leaving with a 4.5 game lead. Let's hope this year's experience with Yankee Stadium is better than last year's!

Another loss, this time 3-1 to the Yanks. To be fair, I don't think the Yanks will get a better and more complete pitching performance from their staff for the rest of the series, that was a tough one. Stroman had a decent start, but looked to tire as the game wore on. Tanaka is just plain good.
Things got interesting in the top of the 9th, but Gose watched a close pitch go by him for strike 3 and the end of the game with Kawasaki on 3rd. Frustrating.

Yeah, his strike zone was way too low tonight. Lots below the knee getting called.

And if you were to believe pitch tracs inside to righties off the plate a ways was good for a strike as well. Tough for hitters tonight. Bounce back game tomorrow

That was literally the only at bat I saw, but of the six pitches thrown, not a single one was a strike.
That said, only that last pitch was close, and Gose needed to be protecting the plate there. Either way, did we not have anyone left on the bench who could pinch hit?

That ump should be fired for how off his strike zone was tonight.
During the time Gose was up he won us more games than he cost us. In quite a few games that were close he got on and used his speed to manufacture runs. I understand that his average is not where it should be at .233 but with a bit of work he can turn his game around. I don't know why we sent him down though as he is a perfect 4th outfielder / bench player but I guess that is the breaks when your team needs 3 Catchers.
