I don't think I've ever said this before, but the refs cost a team an entire series. I really hope they can't get their act together, can you imagine a missed call ending up deciding the Cup?
Which call(s) cost them a series? Not asking to be a dink, just curious as to what I'm missing. I'm not reading too much on controversial calls on twitter right now.
He plays 20+ minutes a night and is better than any other guy on the team not sure how that is addition by subtraction. I know crapping on Phaneuf and making up how bad he is is a past time for some on CP but getting rid of Phaneuf makes the Leafs a much worse team.
hahahaha. Have you even watched him play the past 4 years in Toronto? not only have injuries decimated him, he is still a $6.5 mil cap hit.
Well, at the very least, the St.Louis pick will be 21 after the blow out in WSH.
EDIT: Apparently theres folks down at the ACC tearing trees out and trying to knock over light posts. It begins. Hopefully the Police can shut it down before it gets out of hand.

Apparently folks outside ACC are climbing light polls and pull out trees so far... #stayclassy

Did you watch the game by any chance?

Exactly. Maybe it didn't cost the Leafs the series, but it sure as heck could have, 2 minutes on the PP for the Leafs I bet would have been enough to salt the win away.

They outplayed them in pretty much every game, except for game 2, and parts of the last two games. Leafs played well in stretches considering, but Boston was obviously the better team.
Boston is a much better team and they looked like poo, if that was Kipper in net instead of Reimer the Bruins would be out right now. Boston should have manhandled the Leafs and they didn't whatsoever.
In this case it basically did. Sure the Leafs are to blame for letting up, but that was incredibly blatant, it changed the entire complexion of the game.
As for the missed no goal in 2004, that was an extremely close call, no benefit of replay etc. etc.
No, the leafs were on a breakaway up 4-2 with 3:30 left. The refs could have given the Bruins a 5 on 3 at that point and the Leafs still should have been able to win.
What an incredible comeback by the Bruins I mean 2 goals with the Goalie pulled that's a movie script. Then to win in OT.
Man did we (Bruins fans) get lucky!

Not the same. You drive a guy into the boards from behind it's a penalty, no debate.

I'm sure the globe and mail tomorrow will have a glowing review of his game and body of work this season.
