After Google gave its Nexus 4 a $100 price cut last week, the 8GB version of the phone is now sold out on the Play store. It appears that the price reduction was more of a clearance sale, however, as Google tells The Verge that the cheaper model will not be restocked.

Definitely something different because the girl in blue is using a Nexus 4.
Obviously a new version is coming so wouldn't at all be surprised. I just hope they keep the name similar to Nexus 7 (2013 etc).

All of the previous nexus phones have been a derivative of some manufacturers flagship phone. The current flagship offerings HTC One, Samsung GS4, LG G2, Moto X all have centered cameras whereas this one doesn't. If the pattern for derivative Nexus hardware continues, maybe we have a Sony derived Nexus 4/5? Timing seems right since the Z1 is being announced tomorrow and the Nexus is a few months away. Speculation on my part since the camera placement and profile seem to match.

Am I the only one who is excited that the logo now shows right-side-up; so people now know how to hold their phone when taking a picture?

Don't like the sideways logo.
-Looks LG made
-Better/wider camera sensor
-Bigger actual phone
-No back speaker

UPS delivered my 16GB Nexus 4 this afternoon. NICE gadget. Best $280 I have spent for a long time! Upgraded to 4.3 already too.

Spent most of yesterday playing with the Nexus 4. It slid off my desk and gave me a big scare, but nothing was even scratched. The glass back IS slippery. Too bad I don't like cases for my phones.

Do you have one? They are inexpensive, but good quality?

I have 3 plus a custom Calgary Flames skin.
The regular skins go for $9 each, for the Nexus 4. Plus you pay $3 for shipping. If you order multiple skins at once, they ship them all together and you only pay shipping once.
It's a high quality, precision cut 3M skin. It can be reapplied and taken off multiple times. I've been changing mine all summer.

I should add: I got my skins after the back glass on my Nexus 4 suffered a hairline crack. The skin adds grip and some uniqueness to your phone.

I sort of want a case but I am really enjoying how non-bulky it is without a case. I might get one of these skins though.
Any good options for a screen protector that doesn't affect how screen feels very much?
