Hate to break it to ya, but it's not over yet. The 3rd period is just starting.

My bad. It just gives Baertschi another 20 minutes to pad some stats .

Yeah, he only needs a point or two more to bring him up to a 2 point a game avg.

Yeah I noticed that also, so I did a little research

Sven Bartschi has 56 Assists this season. Thats an average of 1.44 Assists per game

34 Primary Assists = 61%
22 Secondary Assists = 39%
----
35 Even Strength Assists = 62.5% ( 22 Primary Assists, 13 Secondary Assists )
21 Powerplay Assists = 37.5% ( 12 Primary Assists, 9 Secondary Assists )

Sven Bartschi has 22 Goals this season

13 Even Strength Goals = 59%
7 Power play Goals = 32%
2 Shorthanded Goals = 9%

Impressive numbers to say the least.

Three assists- 22 goals and 56 assists for 78 points in 39 games.

Ferland has two goals so far tonight... 80 points this year.

That's now a hat trick for Ferland. Almost the end of the second period...

Edit: Ferland just scored a fourth...

Howse scored his first goal of the season tonight. Hope it begins to open the floodgates for him!

Agreed, great night for our prospects. Our lack of defensive prospects is a little concerning, but with such a young core (Bouwmeester, Giordano, Butler, Brodie, and Smith) with the oldest being Bouwmeester at 28, Feaster has some time to address this issue.

The forward talent is looking great though.

Reinhart and Ferland are looking quite a bit better than Howse and Horak were at the same point in their development.

What a great year for our prospects so far. This thread has been one of the biggest bright spots for the season for sure. Especially when things we're looking grim earlier this season.

Not that it matters all that much, but...

Since joining the St. Johns Ice Caps, John Negrin has 2 assists in 3 games.

This year, playing for the Heat, Negrin had 1 assist in 26 games.

I think the change of scenery was good for him.

One can only hope haha. In his post game interview he seemed extremely happy to get that monkey off his back.

So the Heat won 4-1 tonight.

The goals were Howse from Desbiens and Wilson, Carson from Jessiman and Escolet, Nemisz from Laing and Wilson, and Laing from Escolet and Nemisz.

Since coming off his injury, Nemisz has 3 points in 2 games. Escolet has 4 assists in his 3 games with the Heat, and Jessiman has 2 points since joining the Heat.

You gotta think if anything happened injury-wise to the Flames, Nemisz would be the next one called up. He looks as good as I've ever seen him.

I've noticed he hasn't played the last two SJ games though. Wonder if maybe he is injured again or if he is just a healthy scratch? Hopefully he isn't injured. Really would like to see him get back on track.

Good for Howse for finally get that first one. I'm sure it was a huge relief to finally get it. Hopefully that can get him some confidence and he starts putting them in the net regularly.

Just saw the highlights from the Heat/Aeros game . . . That is one tiny crowd; looked like a scrimmage game. Yikes.

Yeah, Saturdays aren't that great in terms of attendance.

Fridays are great for attendance because of the $2 Sleeman and $1 hot dogs. So obviously people get drunk and get loud and cheer even harder.

Sundays are decent for attendance because they're 1:00 PM starts and it's more for the little kids and church crowd (for after church), so those days aren't too bad.

Saturdays need some crazy promoting though. I know the season ticket holders were requesting that some Flames alumni make appearances at the game for autograph signings or what not. I don't know how practical that would be though. Walter definitely needs to come with something for Saturdays though.
