I say you should be able to. The NHL.com redraft allowed him at 4.5 million. Though he will be number 3 on my team and RW chart stolen this round

I was really gunning for Havlat. Heatley - Datsyuk - Havlat would of been pretty scary

My thoughts on drafting D Andrei Markov: Its a risky choice in the sense that Markov has been plagued by injuries for the last two seasons. However, when he is healthy, Markov is an elite puck-distributing defenceman. I think that his success speaks for itself:

Markov is underrated (except in Montreal) in my opinion.

He has the best outlet pass and is the best PPQB if he's healthy. But that is a huge if. I think for the past few years the only better PPQB's I've seen were Pronger and Zubov.

Data collection took longer than expected.
Happy to get a high minute logging defenseman at a reasonable cap hit. I think Staal has more offensive potential than he has shown previously.

I don't have the final say, but I think we shouldn't have a time limit on picks on weekends. Especially this long weekend, as I'm sure some of us have other things to do. So I say we cut the time limit off at 5 tonight and then restart it up at 8 on Tuesday. Of course you are welcome to make picks just don't feel pressured.

Maybe we keep a time limit, but put it to like 8 hours or something, so at least we're able to bang a few picks out? Depends what everyone else wants though, i'm fine either way.

Does the selection window begin at 8am or 10am mountain time. Obviously here in Carolina I'm on Eastern time, so I thought the window for picks started 30 minutes ago for me. I just want to be clear before I get handed Burrows while I'm teaching.

If Poe969 isn't around, he did send me a list, I'll check if he's online.
EDIT : he was online 3-4 hours ago, so I'll wait a few minutes before making his pick for him.

Speaking on a purely selfish basis, I would be happy to not be required to draft this weekend (as I'm going away.) However, I will have my blackberry with me so I can draft if need be.

I picked for the Wild...
... next up ... Maple Leafs transplan99
EDIT : I still have a previous list from him, so I'll make his pick from that if he doesn't show... I don't want to do it right away though, as the list was meant for the previous round.

I sent his list to Hockey and Makarov... I have to head out so I didn't have time to verify which is the highest player still available... thanks guys.
Keep in mind, this list was sent from the previous round, it was a massive list so I assume its still valid, but give him some time to show first.

Wow some great picks there, I was hoping for Enstrom/Kane/Staal and I completely forgot about Oshie. I have a list from New Jersey still so as soon as tranny makes his pick we can get moving again
