Pillar strikes out on a pitch that almost hit the plate. Good times.

Maybe he's not 100%. Wasn't available against the Yanks a couple days ago.
Regardless, starters have given up 1 ER or less the last half dozen or so games, but the bullpen has choked away a few. Not a good sign for a 1 game playoff likely coming up in 6 days, never mind a potential 5 game series after that.

2 outs on balls that weren't strikes. That stings.

I have zero confidence in the Jays bullpen at this point.

Britton has allowed one earned run since April. That's not too bad.

Help, save, whatever.

Jays offense definitely looks like crap but Osuna has got to come in and lock that game down. I hope he proves me wrong but I really think other teams have him figured out.

Game over.
Waste of a great game by Liriano. Grilli and Osuna both need to buckle down, can't afford to give away games.

Lol
Bullpen sucks at the start of the year, and now it sucks at the end of the year, just different pitchers.
Should be 4 games up on the Orioles and clinched, but all of a sudden Grilli and Osuna are blowing it.
Brutal

Sometimes I think managers get too cute with the bullpen. You almost never see pitchers go into the 8th and 9th any more. Liriano had 10 k's and no runs, I think you give him a bit more leash in the 7th than one weak ground ball base hit.

It's bad enough they gifted Boston the division. Now they're trying to help Baltimore get home field advantage for the wild card game.

Grilli and Osuna are both overworked IMO. Gibbons has doesn't a great job of managing that lately.
But this offence has to be way more accountable. With a starter ERA of less than 2 lately, they should Have been in the race for the division but their bats are basically garbage outside of hitting home runs. Offence is absolutely what is holding them back right now, there really is no good reason they have to use their 8th and 9th inning guy so much when te starters are pitching as well as they are. Time for the offence to pick this team up but if it hasn't all use it isn't likely to now.

Sadly, Osuna just isn't as good as Jays fans make him out to be (for now). He's got a 2.79 ERA right now which is good for 40th in the majors among relievers. That's a decent closer but nowhere near elite. Osuna misses his spots in the zone way too much still and relies completely on his stuff to power through his mistakes.

I would put zero stock into it yup. They used mostly results of pitchers to determine performance and gibbons has had one of the worst bullpens in the league for the bulk of the last two season. Of course he if going to rank the worst when he has the worst talent at his disposal.
Again not saying he is perfect or even great but to say he has "no idea how to manage a bullpen" I don't agree with.

This is easily the most frustrated I've been after a Jays loss since ALCS game 6 last year.
Thus, I will say no more on the matter.
