On a scale from 1-10 how clever did this sound in your head before you wrote it?

We voted for a corrupt, incompetent government and we got one.
I wouldn’t be trying to turn this into Zelinsky or anyone else’s fault. Liberals should apologize for what they called a “deeply embarrassing” incident and try to move on to their next #### up.
To try and shift the blame is absurd.

How do we know that the speaker himself wasn’t actually a Russian plant and part of a long game to sow further discord in Canadian politics?? They’re playing 4D chess with us here!

Zelensky has openly condemned glorifying the Galicia division.
I mean what is he going to do at parliament where he was invited, run a protest right before a monumental speech? If he caught on, he would have put Trudeau aside in a private conservation later.

I’m afraid the Liberals don’t seem equipped to play Uno, nevermind 4D chess.

Arrests continued in the city and in the villages, and people - "enemies of the people" - were taken to Siberia. This did not pass by both the schools and the bursa. One Saturday, the director of the Tkachuk school called three tenth-grade students from the bursa, and no one saw them again.
Fear of the unknown enveloped us and the entire nation. The terror of Moscow Communism raged over the Berezhansk land. The NKVD had eyes and ears everywhere. Friend to friend and brother to brother could not speak sincerely for fear of betrayal. The worst thing is that the viper who terrorized us spoke our native language. Each time, a larger part of the population became "enemies of the people".
At school, we had to sing songs of praise to our executioners, and the monthly wall newspapers that each class had to publish praised Father Stalin and the Communist Party to the heavens. In July 1941, the German army occupied

So was he a Nazi, or did he choose to fight with the enemy of his enemy? I really hope the press actually sits and talks with the guy so we can see this as an opportunity to hear that war is messy, and lines are fuzzy. And hopefully the real press, before Ezra starts in on the guy, whips his audience into a frenzy and has them spray painting swastikas on his house.

The speaker and the Liberals’ process of checks and balances for who gets to enter the house are obviously at fault for making this situation possible in the first place, but I don’t know that it’s particularly hard to imagine the idea of someone hearing someone else introduced as a Nazi and… not clapping?

Yes to be fair, the choice was between Stalinist Russia (whose collectivist policies resulted in the deaths of between 3 and 5 million Ukrainians in the early 1930s - either intentionally or through incompetence) and the Germans. Many Ukrainians chose to back the Germans, not necessarily because they supported Nazism, but because they wanted to be rid of Stalin and Russia.
It is a grey area. Russians and their sympathizers would have you believe anyone who fought with the Germans was a hardcore Nazi, which isn’t true.
The problem in this case is the involvement with the Waffen SS. They weren’t the Gestapo and they did fight as regular military units, but they also committed more than their fair share of war crimes against civilians.

I find it hard to believe that people brought before the house, especially in front of all the MPs, aren't vetted in some way by RCMP or just anyone on the hill. I don't understand how this happens. People with I love Canadian Oil T-shirts aren't allowed in the building. Seems like a massive security issue.

Certainly. I guess him being 16 and thinking back to my decisions at 16...well a lot of them were not great.
