I'm not saying questions shouldn't be asked, but when it comes to foreign countries assassinating Canadians on Canadian soil, can we please resist the urge to turn this into some political finger pointing thing either way. PP standing up and supporting JTs statement last week is literally the most admirable thing the guy has ever done in his life.

Taken from literally anyone other than you, I would be interested in hearing the questions that need to be asked about these accusations. But this isn't something we need from a glorified conservative re-tweet bot.

Not even sure why people would be offended about the accusation against India.

Trudeau has absolutely zero incentive to annoy India. They’re a minor trading partner and a huge source of immigration to Canada.

Ideally Trudeau would have wanted to keep this quiet until it was resolved. But after burying the Chinese interference investigation and knowing the information about India was going to be leaked anyway (which does happen in democracies with a free press), he didn’t have any choice but to go public.

If the Indian government was involved with assassinating a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil, someone is going to have to pay. As much as all the federal parties likely want the issue to go away, they can’t ignore something that serious.

My guess is they all agree on a fall-guy or two and relations go back to normal.

Amid the much more serious accusation that India committed an assassination on Canadian soil, a Trudeau government minister didn’t immediately deny this week that India had something to do with the breakdown of Canada’s official VIP jet in New Delhi.

When Defence Minister Bill Blair was later asked by reporters if the breakdown was a result of “sabotage,” he gave a non-committal answer.

“I’m not going to comment on that,” said Blair. “There are, there are obviously ongoing concerns.”

This then prompted a quick clarification by Blair’s press secretary, Daniel Minden, who released a statement saying that Canada has “no reason” to believe it was sabotage, and the aircraft was most likely plagued by a “technical issue.”

The exchange was posted to social media by Steven Chase, an investigative reporter with the Globe and Mail.
