Well now it's 8-3 and they have to let Downs go up and hit. I wonder if he was told to just go stand there....at least he did ground up. Oh, oh...now he's limping, they should have told him to just stand there.

I'm not an avid Blue Jays fan, but is anyone noticing that the Jays seem to be a very Hot and Cold type of team? I mean, there was that 9 game slide earlier, and that 4 game slide recently. I'm sure there are more slides I've missed, but if they even went .500 for that, they'd be 41-27, a very respectable record.
It sounds like their offense is their biggest concern. I've seen at least 2 games now where they should have easily gotten 2 or 3 extra runs out of a game, and manage to squander the chances wherever possible.

0-9, yes 0-9 with the bases loaded in one game. All they got out of that was a bases loaded walk. Yet still win 8-3 because the Phillies pitchers couldn't find the plate,
Nobody even commented on the Jays possibly getting Pedro? Yay or nay?

We know that people like to pile on the Gazelle because they think he's stupid or that he doesn't give a [foul], but he had a pretty great game overall last night. The Jays would not have won without his contributions, so don't piss and moan about the alternate universe where they lost last night because of him.

Thanks Tao, you cheered me up!

Hmm, so it appears that Halladay will make his scheduled start. EDIT: NOPE! Richmond listed to start tonight, which would've been Doc.

Downs might still go the DL, Accardo still won't get promoted.

Tonight, I suppose, and Richmond is listed as the starter (which makes sense, last time he pitched was long relief after Doc left his game.)

Halladay is pitching tonight? I haven't seen a report that says that yet.

I'd say just sit Halladay until the Jays are back at home, no need to make him attempt to run those base paths.

Frasor into the closer spot, good move to Cito to not make the move based on BJ's contract. Plus, that would've cost us a lefty reliever.
