Weekend update another win. That new Canadian Tire commercial gave me the giggles.

Rough night skit-wise. You know it's been a weak night when the best skit of the night is a Kyle Mooney digital skit.

At least Chris Rock's stand up monologue was good. And another solid entry from the Weekend Update young guy. And yes Prince just shredded that guitar.

Rough night life-wise. You know it's been a weak night when you cover the clocks that haven't been set back and search for SNL streams way too late.

I thought the opening monologue was very unlike Chris Rock. The subjects touched upon were a bad choice for him, imo. Semi decent episode after that. This was my first time seeing the show with Pete Davidson, and I was excited for that, but the whole "sending my mom a pic of my penis" gig felt like it fell flat.

They were touchy subjects, but I think he handled them well.

It was a good episode. Think SNL should 1) stick to comedians as hosts, 2) do more parodies of commercials.

Prett sure that had something to do with his band being named 3rdEyeGirl

I never liked Prince's music, ever. Still don't. But, his performance on SNL is a living proof that good quality music is an essential part of a good quality musical performance. This was top quality stuff and it absolutely rocked. Lots of time, a trendy band or performer without any muscial skill whatsoever looks helpless and outright bizarre musically, and no amount of showmanship, outrageous outfits and hairdos can help them sound good live. Prince and his band were anything but.

Loved the Weekend Update, especially, Pete Davidson's episode, Rock's opening act was excellent, I thought. Diversity skit was so-so. GoProbe was great.

Worst SNL of the season so far...and maybe the worst in recent memory. A reminder of why Chris Rock never made an impact on SNL. He seemed really unprepared. His inability to not stare at the cue card was so distracting. Sure he probably didn't have much to work with but a decent host, especially someone who was a cast member at one time and is a professional comedian, should be able to make things far less cringe worthy. Yelling "no fapping" over and over is not funny.

Che is terrible on Weekend Update. Go back to The Daily Show where you can tape and edit your bits and not fumble around and ruin jokes.

Jones' screw up where she walked off stage, came back and had no idea what to do was as awkward as it gets and ruined an already awful sketch. The entire audience checked out after that. Good thing it was at the end.

Lots of other miscues and poor joke deliveries not worth mentioning. They probably should have taken a few weeks off after the Carrey episode.

Last nights episode was more of a commercial for Uber (mentioned at least 5 times) than it was a comedy sketch show.

I thought the Swiftamine commercial was very good.

It hasn't happened to me with Taylor Swift, but I can definitely relate to tapping my foot to a song, then having to embarrassedly remind myself that I hate that artist.

Link? Maybe I was zoned out cause I had to get up for work today, but I don't remember a Canadian tire parody.

prince was really good, the only good part of the whole show, and I'm not really a fan of him.
Apparently the guitarist is Canadian.
