Is the Katz pastrami sandwich in NYC really worth $30 american? I love sandwiches. Would eat them breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But that seems ludicrous. Even if it's hella famous.

That’s about $42 Cnd. No sandwich is worth that unless it feeds a family.

I had a Schwatze's in Montreal recently. Can't remember what I paid, but I would pay $50 for one of those bad boys right now.

Looking at the photos on their website, they do provide a generous portion of meat, but you are definitely paying for the fact that it's the "World Famous" Katz's Deli.

I have to be the only person on earth who hates that corned beef flavour. Like vinegary roast beef. It looks good.

Not only do I not love the flavour, the whole idea of those giant sandwiches is gross to me. The meat to bread ratio is all wrong. I don’t want a pound of beef with tiny little bread on either end. There’s no balance.

You can buy Schwartz's at Costco. It's obviously not exactly the same, but it's pretty good. I wrap it in foil and put it in the oven. Get some rye bread, mustard, PICKLES, and enjoy.

On a golf trip my large buddy smoked weed and ate the entire Costco package of that stuff cold, just stuffing it in his maw, package after package. Gag thinking about it. The farts. Wow.

LOL, oh ya I think they have the sliced stuff or the big hunk. I like the big hunka hunka. More moist. Plus then instead of having to open all those packages, your buddy could have just sat on the couch on gnawed on the roast. Maybe next time.

I love those sandwiches but I also agree there has to be a balance.
I get it. They're offering a generous portion of meat and ergo the price is significant...but I cant eat that much so it doesnt jive in terms of balance.
Also...you dont need to throw everything and the kitchen sink into a sandwich. Let the bread, the meat and the mustard do the heavy lifting. Maybe some lettuce, but you dont need everything. It loses something in the complexity.
The Earl of Sandwich would be rolling in his grave!!

I figured I’d die so I haven’t bought clothes for a while and I look shabby as hell. Went to the mall (hell). I have zero taste and cannot figure out what to even try on. Of course I got a 40th pair of jeans. I need nice ish shorts for business casual at work. Hate tucking in shirts and hate sweaters. Frustrating.
Is there a gay dude I can hire to help me figure out where to start?
Or even peter12?

If you want to spend some money, go to Saks and they have guys there who will get you all set. Like I say though, it’s not cheap.

Never made it to downtown Montreal but I have had Smoked Meat Pete's a bunch of times.
On the Island west of town. Just off the 401. Apparently next to the first dairy Queen in Canada.
Brought a few massive Briskets back on occasion as well for friends and family.
Definitely gave me the cravings again reading about it.
Soooo goood...

Anyone use Home Chef food delivery who’d care to give a short review?
