Legit question. Is there any added benefit to the site by having all of the lurkers, old and new, sign in? Does it help an algorithm or boost revenue? Or is it just fun to tally up the names?
Side note (but related to the thread) got in a minor disagreement today with a buddy who would rather take nothing for Hanafin and try for the playoffs vs a pittance such as a 5th rounder (if it got to that point of desperation). Always interesting to see the full array of opinions.

One of my first CP memories is reading about the trade of another youngish Flames defenseman to a western team.
The defenseman was Derek Morris, the team was the Colorado Avalanche, and the time was 21.5 years ago.
I finally signed up as a CP member a few weeks later.

I visited Calgary in 2015 and went to 2 games (Sharks and sabres) Became a fan.
Have watched most games online since then (no blackouts here!)
As a Scot living in Oz I didn’t really understand much about hockey, other than fast, fun, fights!
