The penalty kill came up absolutely clutch. The Firebirds radio team was completely disheartened, noting that the Wranglers would barely allow the PP to cross the red line.
Really impressive season for the Wranglers. I'm excited to see them go on a run.

2 points up. Both teams have 5 games left and the Wranglers hold the tiebreaker. The Firebirds need 3 more points than Calgary over those games to take first overall.
Calgary has 2 games in San Diego and 3 in Abbotsford to end the season. Coachella Valley has 3 against the baby No Goods and 1 each against Henderson and Ontario.

Not sure whether you created that graphic FlamesFan... or got it from somewhere but the overall record for the Wranglers is missing their one shoot-out loss. I was reading the post that followed yours and couldn't figure out how the Wranglers were two points up on Coachella.

Thanks for noticing, I must have missed it awhile ago. I’ve been updating the road team regularly, but for the Wranglers I’ve just been adding on W’s.

Two goals against that Wolf didn’t have huge chances on, some big saves, Wranglers goals were nothing too fancy, but some great pursuit by Phillips for the winner. Poirier with another brutal decision ending up in the back of his net. But a pretty sparse highlight package overall, can’t learn much from it.
Hopefully they can seal 1st and get the bye.

Wranglers sit in first place with 102 points, 4 up on Coachella's 98. The Firebirds have a game in hand.
The San Diego Gulls gave the Wranglers a handful despite being basement dwellers. The Wranglers play them again tonight, while Coachella plays the Bakersfield Oily Trash Birds.
After tonight, the Wranglers play Abbotsford three times to finish off the season.
