And I’m not just yucking it up after game 1. Mangiapane is a better player and will continue to be.

Please god, don’t let the Flames re-sign Gaudreau to $8M+.

This game is far from over. Flames just need to keep pushing.

Smith just having one of those nights.
That definitely backs up the eye test.

And not just Smith. The puckluck has been incredible for the Oilers.

Its gonna suck hard to lose this game but the Oilers are exactly who we thought they were. They're not going to make any noise this year.

It's a contract year- don't worry he'll get going. He has to.

Maybe we should play him with Gaudreau.

When Mangi has an 80-90 point season we can talk

little early to be saying that like it's a fact

The Oilers are supposed to be some kinda contender right?
If the Flames best players were their best players, the Flames would be leading.

Unfortunately, not the case.

I agree with everything but the last sentence. I don’t mind their game tonight

Like I say, one difference to me is that the Oilers have gotten some good bounces. And capitalized

But the Flames have been the better team

You can't read anything at all into Game 1 IMO. What you really need are points in the standings.

But I agree with you about how they're playing.

I don't actually think the Oilers are a contender...just going by these so called "experts"

For good reason. He's been invisible since he got hit in the first period. You must be seeing something that the coaches are not.
Admittedly, his best play was earlier in the first. I count that time as part of the game though.

He was on for the Mangiapane goal and IMO was in on that play. As for TOI, he, Mangiapane and Dube are all approximately equal - around 10 minutes.

Nurse has had worse giveaways tonight than Gudbranson and Zadorv.

This is ALL Sportsnet.

CBC is allowed to hype their scripted shows - they have no control over the production of HNIC.

Is there one for shots that have any chance of going in? Because I've only seen a few by us out of the 35 supposed shots we've had. (Kinda genuinely asking)
