Quietly, Lowry is a Hall of Famer right?

Maybe if he wins another one.

his Hall of Fame probability is 85.7% - and he still has a few years and this playoff run to raise that number. I think he'll get in, maybe not first ballot though.

This is a very specific number.

HoF probability is a pretty significant stat. It's based on past HoFers' resumes. Lowry is 87th all time in this stat (and 12th among active players).

Lowry is definitely a Hall of Famer, only question is first ballot or not. A ring this year and there's no doubt he's first ballot.

Goddam it.

I had to watch that on delay, and I'm still coming down from the high.

That's the type of basketball that doesn't exist in today's day and age. Physical, defense first, grinding...

It's a thing of beauty, truly. I don't mind the game being focused on 3's and layups, but games like this give you a sense of what basketball used to be like and why it can be so amazing. Just a freaking battle on both sides all night long. Two evenly matched teams going toe to toe. I love it, and even if they lose on Friday, this will be one of the best playoff series I've ever seen.

Here's a quick recap of the highlights from tonight:

Billups is the player that Lowry is most comparable with, and Billups is still waiting for that call, so it's definitely not a given for Lowry. But personally, I think there's more to it than simply stats and awards. Billups never had the opportunity to be the franchise-defining player for Detroit the way that Lowry has been for Toronto, and that narrative should count for something.

Amazing game tonight. I went into it feeling incredibly calm about accepting the outcome, no matter what happened, but I was an anxious wreck by the end of it.

Billups has some legal issues to overcome, and Lowry is a much better defender as well. Lowry is also viewed as more of an overachiever as a late first rounder, whereas Billups as a top 3 pick basically played to the level that was expected.

Oh, I really hope they don't play loose. There wasn't a sense of urgency for a lot of games in this series. I'd actually argue the Raps are lucky to have kept the games they've won, close, and win it in the end. They simply haven't played well though, and the shooting percentage shows that.

I get the high, but no way in hell this has been the best played series of all time. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. Both teams have had chances to put it away and flopped in the end. It's actually been a frustrating series compared to last year when everything clicked.

Personally, I'm skeptical they'll play right in game 7. I can't put my finger on why they're playing so lackluster. I love the fact that they won it when it counted, but there's so much unconfident playing all around. As long as someone can take it over to put an end to this series, that'd be great. But if it comes to it how do they clear their head heading into the next series?

You're misremembering last year up to this point. Sure, they steamrolled the Magic in Rd 1 (as they did the Nets this year) but their 2nd round series with Philly was a total struggle. FVV didn't even look like he belong in the league. Siakam struggled with the length of Embiid. Jimmy Butler was virtually unguardable. Kawhi was essentially the only raptor scoring, and our bench was non-existant. It came down to the last shot in game 7 for a reason.

And here we are again - 2nd round, game 7, raptors vs a traditional big basketball market. I'm lovin' it.

We’re still seeing the group adjust to life without Kawhi. It’s impressive when you look at it, we removed our best player in Kawhi, and an important starter in Green and replaced them with literally nobody. The only person contributing this year that wasn’t last year is OG because he was hurt.

Kawhi dragged this team through the series against Philly. This year it really has to be a group effort.

Clippers are rolling. They'll get rest too while Lakers-Rockets beat each other up. Looks like back to back finals for Kawhi.

If the Rockets had half the heart and poise during crunch time as Toronto, they’d be cruising through the playoffs. All the talent in the world...

Looks like another disappointing finish for my team.

I don’t hate Harden. It would be cool if he came up big next game. But the man just chokes in key moments time and time again. His stans also don’t make him look any better. He’s a prime example of how numbers can be misleading of how good a player actually is.

Welp, so far there has been an obvious missed call go against the raptors (goaltending), Siakam has missed a layup and given the ball away, and the Raps are losing the rebounding battle.

Seems about par for the course.
