Just saw the goals and I’m guessing the game has been closer than the score. 2nd and 3rd Leafs goals were total flukes and the 5th was the worst goal a Flames goalie has allowed all year.

I don’t think BT feels the goalie situation is on lock down. But none of those names excite me as our long term net solution, I assume they don’t excite BT either. BT also clearly feels it’s not this year or bust for this team, I don’t think tgat either.

So do we really think he should pay a premium price for less than ideal goaltending on a team that’s sitting in first place with their current goaltending?

Lundqvist has a NMC and stated he wanted to stay in NY.

Minnesota is in a playoff spot, they were never trading their starting G.

Miller was asked to waive and agreed only to go to San Jose.

Howard may be the one guy they could have gotten but the ask was a 1st IIRC, and he will re-sign with the Wings....so he was pure rental.
