On one hand I want the oilers to lose. Badly.

On the other hand I want Draisaitl to keep scoring and winning so he gets an offer sheet, further hamstringing the oiler cap situation.

Guy has 16 points in 12 games this playoffs and has been a beast. Keep it up and he's playing for Toronto next year, or making 8mill by 8 years hahahahaha

I don't think that Toronto would do it with some of their entry level deals coming to an end they're going to have to be cap sensitive.

But a team like Carolina that has the cap space, has the picks and has what looks like a very good defensive team going forward that needs scoring.

That's a yahtzee

I don't understand why people keep running with this.
Paying guys who produce, like Draisaitl (77 reg season points, 16 playoff points) will never hamstring a team.
Paying 6 million for Lucic, etc. will
Draisaitl isn't what will hurt them.

Yep. Problem is Lucic is already signed. So is eberle and rnh.

Oilers are cap f'd the more their RFA's keep producing.
