Seems strange to me if Price goes in. Right now, Price and Stroman would be pitching on normal rest.

Maybe, but that's not the worth penalty of starting Stroman on short rest. I doubt he's done it in his career. This isn't like last series where using Price still gave you a fully rested Stroman.

Price is probably just throwing as today would be a normal throw day for him. He gets his workout in, and is ready just in the chance the Royals cause some trouble.

Let's hope so.

The problem now is Sanchez gets two straight lefties if he comes in. Its a 5 run lead though so Gibby has to give him some leeway. Just have Osuna ready to go to clean up trouble.

I say let him pitch until he gives up a run. IMO he's earned a shot to go for the CG shutout.

Starters on normal rest, Sanchez and Osuna with a rest day inbetween, and the rest of the pen with two days rest. That's about as good a situation as you can ask for going into an away park for games 6 and 7.

Might be getting ahead of myself, as this game isn't over, but feeling more confident now that the day has played out this way. Kudos to Estrada.

My only reasoning is if Sanchez gets in to trouble, he really only has Osuna (or Price) to bail him out. If Estrada gets in trouble, he has both Sanchez and Osuna behind. With this thin of a pen, get as much out of Estrada as we can.

Nice strategy, didn't really think of it like that. Estrada looked like he was keeping his arm warm so I think he comes in.
