Fernando Verdasco, the very best there is. When you absolutely, positively have to choke every important point in the match...accept no substitutes.

Was there a flash/sound of a camera shutter? His whole match vs Milos a few years back came down to that single point determining his choke job.

I'm excited for the list of confirmed players for the Rogers Cup. Granted, a few will pull-out, just hope Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic aren't any of them.

Happy to see despite his ranking dropping from injury, Gael Monfils still received an invite.

Boris Becker commentating on the match yesterday for the BBC said that the problems with Verdasco have nothing to do with his actual game. I think the word Becker used to describe his mental state was "fragile."

Weird match. Lisicki has 34 winners and 30 errors. Radwanska only has 10 and 5 respectively. Basically Lisicki is doing everything one way or another.

Great match, both players showed some grit in that 3rd set but Lisicki just went for everything, hence the insane 60 winner and 46 unforced errors. If Lisicki does indeed win the title on Saturday she will have certainly earned it, twice rallying from 0-3 in the third against a top-5 opponent.

Boom Boom vs The Genius. a womens final that I might actually watch, and would be happy with either winning.

during Bartoli's curb stomping of Flipkens this morning, anyone else see the IQ chart they put up, where she's above Einstein and Hawking, but below Bobby Fischer and Da Vinci? first of all, how the hell did they get Leonardo's IQ test scores, and why is Bartoli wasting time playing tennis when she could be inventing a new source of limitless energy for our species?

It should be a great women's final. Both players are hungry and talented.

McEnroe had some great comments about how the early exits have allowed other players to finally take the spotlight. I really want to women's game to progress and it's a breath of fresh air not having players like a Williams or Sharapova in the final (no offense).

This match is gonna be a 5-setter for sure. No offense to Murray but I think Del Potro is the only guy left who can beat Djokovic.

I like the confidence Del Potro is playing with right now. Also his personality is hilarious. Trying to show the ball how to get over the net is something I do when I play!

Wow how clutch is Del Potro? 3 set points saved from 0-40, tiebreak time.

Not clutch enough. He missed an easy overhead smash and has choked away the tie break now because of it

Yup, that'd be tennis for you. Clutch one game, big mistakes the next. Hopefully he doesn't get too down about it because right now he's playing well enough to win.

Almost 4 hours in and a tiebreaker to see if we go to a 5th. I hope Del Potro can do it.

this should be entered into the pantheon of one of the all time great matches. I just hope it doesn't rob the winner of his ability to compete on sunday. I know Murray and Jano are loving every minute of it for sure.

I think Djokovic will win but I just want another set like the first 4 we've had.
