This law professor who literally wrote a book about demagogues warns it would be a really bad idea to prosecute Trump. But hey, what does he know about it.
Edit: Anyway, it's a moot point. Biden and his advisors aren't stupid enough to turn the first two years of his administration into a ####ing circus with Trump as the main attraction.

This is Trump we’re talking about. He will grant himself (THE BEST PRESIDENT) a pardon against all future (FAKE) charges (WITCH HUNT), admit nothing (ALL THE CALLS WERE PERFECT), and dare anyone to object.

The thing is they will be pursuing crimes he committed before he became President. Should those just be ignored to not piss MAGA off? And if you're willing to lay down because you're afraid his cult will go off the deep end, isn't that, well, the terrorists winning?

And if nothing is done would that be better? Effectively if you have 1/3 loyalty in the Senate you are a King

Finally - this video is probably the "deal" he struck to avoid federal prosecution after he leaves office.

That article was written a month ago. A month ago, I would have agreed. Situation has changed just a little since then, don't you think?

That is some of the weakest stuff I've seen from an academic in a long time. Weak soup. Yeah, don't try someone for crimes they've committed because of their position. That's goes against tradition. That's some serious bull####. While there are arguments that you can't charge a sitting a President with a crime while they are in office, once the President leaves they are just another private citizen subject to the law like everyone else. If they committed a crime, they are open game. If they are corrupt as Trump, they deserve to swing if it should come to that. Anyone who says Trump shouldn't be pursued criminally, and uses the good of the nation as an excuse, wasn't paying attention when Ford pardoned Nixon for the very same reason. Screw morons like this. Burn trump and his criminal enterprise family to the ground as a warning to anyone else who thinks they will be able to get away with similar stuff in the future.

Thankfully the decision to prosecute will be Merrick Garland's and not Biden's, so we do not need to worry about what Biden and his advisors think. The Attorney General is not the personal attorney of the President's therefore there is not a solicitor-client relationship where the AG has to take instructions from the President.
