The issue with Truth is he is over as #### and can still go. This doesn't even factor in how well-liked Truth is by his co-workers. He's a poster boy for "keep him till he's done."

R-Truth is in my jobber stable, probably my bottom boy. I'll be sad to see him go, but I am not confused or appalled.
R-Truth is in the jobber stable because he's one of those guys who could never win a match and never have their standing with fans get hurt by it.
You could have elevated R-Truth at any time and he'd have been massively over for it.
For sure, I watched a ton of wrestling between 2010-2014, he could have been a top guy then without a doubt in that era. But at 53, and as the oldest wrestler, older than The Rock even, I think it is Ok to let him go from the company.

Had they released him I could see some backlash, just out of respect for the guy.
But his contract not being extended isn't surprising, and honestly it's probably a good time for him to hang it up.
He got his WM moment winning the tag titles with The Miz, and he got a 1:1 title match with Cena during Cena's retirement run.
They did well by Truth during this last run here.
I doubt we see many guys over 50 get extended by the WWE as full time performers to be honest. TKO for UFC isn't afraid to cut even their superstars once they can't perform anymore, WWE likely will do this more too, less of the loyalty to the old guys that Vince would show at times.

Also talking about Jobber stables, using the rules from OSW. Who is in yours?
Spoiler!

Hey bras and bras! I think it'd be cool to have everyone's boy stable in one place. Comment here with your stable (keep it to 6!) and tell us why certain people are in yours, esp your "bottom boy" (your favourite)
WHAT ABOUT THE RULES!
• As long as they haven't been WWF/WWE/WWE World/WCW/IWGP World champion and there's a little bit of cringe, they're in.
• This means ECW, TNA, ROH, ICW and the other world titles don't disqualify you. Most wrestlers are probably eligible for boydom! NWA doesn't count as long as the company wasn't affiliated with WCW at the time (so Dusty = nope, R-Truth = fine)
• ALL WOMEN are eligible - in WWE, the women's titles and division is not on a par with the male world titles, so they're all in, even Asuka, for the time being. Female boys are called Cailíns! (Call-eens)
• Past champions WHO ARE ELIGIBLE: As per Episode 73, Dolph Ziggler, Great Khali, Jack Swagger and Jinder Mahal (we're giving them a pass considering the quality of their run and career since) as well as Finlay, Christian and Regal (we fought V1 over this but he had none of it)
• Non-Champions who aren't eligible: Earthquake (he was actually great), Piper, DiBiase, Owen, Garvin, Jake, Perfect, Razor. That kind of zero-cringe main event in a territory
1: R-Truth
2: Chad Gable
3: John Morison
4: Umaga
5: Jimmy Wang Yang
6: Heath Slater (its been a running joke between my friends and I for over a decade that he is my favorite wrestler of all time)
By all accounts The Miz is next on the non-renewal list. They're leaning into severing his link with Carmelo Hayes. It really seems they're wanting to give air time to younger talent on the roster, and let much of the old guard go. It's not like they'll regret letting Truth, Carlito, or The Miz go, as they're best years are behind them. Even if they end up in AEW it won't be in the main event. It sucks to see them go, as they were still useful in their roles, but this gives plenty of opportunity to talent coming up from NXT (likely at the draft). I always wondered how it makes sense to keep them off the main roster for years at a time?

It’s true. Heck, even AEW let Aleister Black, Rusev and others go and didn’t blink and eye to bring in Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey and a few others. NXT has some great wrestlers, and watching RAW, some of these guys are a bit long in the tooth. Although I will say Killings will likely end up somewhere if he wants to.
Your right, the Miz is also likely next. They should also move on from Alpha Academy, they were never entertaining. I would also get rid of Grayson Waller, you have Logan Paul whose much better in that role.
I would give up on the Wyatt6 as well, its gone no where and they just keep repeating the same interferance/beatdown pose with literially zero vignette, interviews or even really matches.

To be fair though things got halted with them because Bo Dallas got hurt. Now they just got back.
And that's apparently why Alexa Bliss just vanished for a while.
I expect that with R-Truth, that his age is a huge factor, they have so many kids in NXT and training center that they want to get to the main roster. I also expect that releasing R-Truth isn't bad because he'll absolutely get an opportunity elsewhere if he wants to wrestler and work in front of the camera. If not WWE will bring him in as an ambassador.
Miz's time in the ring is pretty much up, and he had an unexpected career. I actually respect Miz for his work ethic more then anything else and his ability to get heat. And his feud with Cena and Nikki a few years back was highly entertaining, with the Miz playing Cena and Maryse playing Nikki Bella. Miz will certainly transition to back stage as a spokes man, and while he won't be a first ballot HOF guy, he will be there (plus we all want to see Danielson induct him).
Bayley will likely be not renewed, which is too bad, I like her as a worker and a talent, her battles with Mone (Banks) were classic matches. She's also done a great job in her heel turn and in mentoring young workers behind the scenes. A release for her isn't a bad thing, its likely that she'll easily find work if she wants it. But she could end up in the performance centre.

I was watching Stevie Richards (he absolutely hated them letting Truth go) youtube show and he said that Truth had been on the bubble a few times in the past but Vince insisted on keeping him because he thought Truth was funny and being able to make Vince laugh was a good way to keep your job.
Mariah May makes her debut on NXT four days after her contract ends in AEW. She was given a proper push in AEW, and still left immediately when given the chance... Tony must be upset. May, Stratton, and Morgan should be mainstays for the next decade.
Also another stalker arrested at NXT tapings, this time going after Liv Morgan. Wrestling fans are the worst, they seem to have more stalkers than any other profession.
