so i finally ended up cancelling today. i had stopped playing my main lvl 50 as the Ilum and warzone grind was just too tedious, but now even on my lvl 32 bounty hunter i logged in and just had no desire to do anything. the same frivolous quests over and over, the same warzones, only to end up at the same place as my current 50. the most fun i've had with SWTOR were the few hardmode flashpoints and operations that i managed to get in, but the 3 guilds i've joined have all fallen apart so it is next to impossible to find groups to do that content. so i logged in today for a total of 5 minutes, decided enough was enough, logged out and unsubbed

just as well though, since with Mass Effect 3 coming out in a couple of days that will likely consume my life for the next few weeks anyways. past that i'm looking forward now to D3 and Guild Wars 2 i guess

That's too bad Hemi. To be honest I still enjoy the game, I haven't finished my Sith Warrior Story line, but I started an Inquisiitor story line because I missed a lot in terms of PVP hunting Holocrons, the whole armoring thing and using crafting to make a wack of money on the galactic trade market.

But I know what your talking about, while the SI story line is very different from the SW story line I still have to grind through the same side missions to make sure that I have the points that I need to be successful.

I'm interested in the 1.2 update, but I can see at some point where I will probably either stop my subscription or keep it going (15 a month is nothing) and step away from the game for a while.

As a whole experience thing though I really have enjoyed the game.

That's a big part of the reason I moved from Empire to Republic with the second character. The side quests are pretty similar, but at least they aren't all the same. I'm hoping by the time I go back to an Empire character they will have done a patch that makes some significant changes, just so it's different.

I was tempted to reroll as a Republic Trooper just because they seem like such an overloaded character.

Anyone still playing. I'm still tooling around, as evil as I want to be I rolled a smuggler, who is just a classic womanizing wise a$$.

A really fun story line with some unique characters and the chance to be a hero or a dirt bag.

I recently seduced this woman, and tried to sneak off the planet. She found me as the spaceport as I was leaving, and in a angry tearful voice demanded that I explain why I wasn't taking her with me.

I pulled out this story that I lived a dangerous life and her going with me would be dangerous to her. She accepted that and thanked me for protecting her by not taking her with me because I in her words loved her.

Then the darkside choice came up.

"Yeah baby, whatever floats your speeder".

She left in a hufff, I got darkside points and both of my companions loved it.

Some other great smuggler lines

Girl- "This is the guy who stole your ship and killed your men right?"

Smuggler- "hehe, good times"

"It's a dangerous mission, but I'd be able to pay you for your trouble."

Smuggler - "Wait, what was that first part, I didn't hear anything before the word 'pay'."

Smuggler - "What is it with the force and guilt trips? Every time I talk to a jedi I feel like I'm talking to my mom"

Little kid "your going to the works? that place is dangerous, you wont last 5 minutes"

Corso: "I dunno the Captain and I are pretty good, I bet we'll last 10 minutes."

Smuggler (picking his callsign for space missions -"I wanna be "Crackerjack!" No wait that sounded better in my head. Wait I want to be "Ace!""

why, I'm going to wait and see what they do with 1.2 before I decide if I'm going to keep going or not.

I'm still enjoying the game now that I've figured it out.

Still playing here, too. I've gotten my Sith warrior to 50, and have that one 'resting' now. I'm all about the storylines, so I'm enjoying my alts. I have a lvl 24 Smuggler I'm playing side by side with a friend of mine who's a Trooper. I'm also alternating solo play with an Inquisitor and an Agent.

I'm still playing, just got my second 50 week or so ago. Loving the 1.2 changes.. they fixed a lot of quality of life things that were bugging me. I'm not really fussing about end game content, couple guilds I was in fell apart and so it was just easier to play alts. I like the single player aspects of the game... and I know that when I feel like it there is a ton of end game stuff for me to make my way through... for the story if not gear by the time I get to it... I think in time all the things this games missing will come... the amount of content they are adding is quite impressive and they are listening to feedback from their fans. I think it will occupy me for quite some time to come... I have no plans to quit.

I love the new user interface. Having my 3rd and 4th ability bars on the sides instead of having to scroll to get to them is wonderful!

Just finished Chapter One as a smuggler, and am not super excited about the start of Chapter Two. Hopefully this changes.

Couldn't you do that since Day 1?

For anyone still playing they have a new global story line happening. there's a highly infectious rackghoul plague going through the galaxy, it started on Tatooine and it looks like there's a whole flashpoint there.

If anyone is on my server, and see's my smuggler Carl, I'd love to go to TAtooine and explore this.

As an aside, my character was infected and I stumbled around the republic space station infecting people until poor Carl exploded.

Its a really well done thing. there are panicky news announcements and quarantines happening throughout the galaxy.

Yup a lot of people didn't know that you could have side bars.

Whaaaaaat??!!! Well the best part about 1.2 is that it let me know this marvelous option existed, even if it was secretly there before.

So... they copied the plague at the end of TBC to bring in WotLK? Neat. I am really not missing anything then.

I personally don't care i they copied it from another game.

I think its well executed, a lot of fun, and having a bonus mission of infecting other players is great.

Has the social aspect of the game improved at all yet? As in, a LFG system that is functional and not a pain in the rear to use?

That's the big thing that killed my interest in the game - that and the constant repetition of meaningless quests to get to the "good" story ones.

Not that I've noticed. I'm finding that there aren't a whole lot of people on the worlds I'm on at the right times, so I've pretty much given up on the four man group quests.
