End of the semester is coming. 3 weeks to go.
I've got papers due April 9th, 12th, and 16th. Final exams on April 16th and 20th.
I'm in the final semester of my degree so obviously I am mailing it in. These will be the worst papers ever.
Wish I could just reach an agreement with my profs that they'd give me C's and I wouldn't have to write them.

Currently in the early process of pulling an all nighter. International relations papers are probably the most obtuse things I've ever had to try to write.
700 words down. 2000 to go.

I was celebrating the fact that I thought this would be my last semester of posting in this thread...and then somehow I convinced myself it would be a good idea to change my major. One more year of sleepless nights

I've been much better this semester with actually working on projects/papers before the last night they're due. Very surprised in myself, though I have like 5 projects/papers due the same week so I really have to work on them beforehand.
Nothing like writing 2 different business plans, a reflection paper (really? reflection papers are fataing stupid), a growth strategy and a sales pitch to end a semester. Good news in all this is I only have 1 final test to study for. Entrepreneurship is awesome.

So yesterday I go to talk to my religious studies prof about my final paper. He helps me organize it and gives me a few ideas on how to make it better. I'm thinking this guy is awesome.
Just now he emails me with a couple more sources to check out for my paper. Best prof ever!

On page 5 of my English paper and cannot think of anything more to add to this. Still need another ~600 words, this will be a fun night/morning. Hooray for procrastination!

It's ridiculous to have a minimum word count on papers like this.
500-750 words should be more than enough to get into detail about a novel for a high school paper. Setting an arbitrary minimum accomplishes nothing except to force the average student to include a lot of filler and BS just for the sake of reaching the minimum.
This isn't a freaking newspaper; your teacher isn't looking to fill space on a broadsheet. It should be about writing a quality paper in as many words as you need.

Serious question; is the Bible a legitimately acceptable reference source for a university paper?
I guess it would be considered a primary source of information?

I believe it is. Doesn't help for my paper at all as I'm writing about how Darwin was accepted by the religious community

Yes and no, depends in the individual really. I was surprised that there was a level of tolerance towards him from a lot of religious people. Though the majority didn't like him.

Hello how is everyone doing with their finals? I'm surprised there has been no April update from anyone.
I have a first year elective final tomorrow (hasn't warranted much preparation... it's first year), and then my last two undergrad finals on the 20th and the 25th.
Preparation for my advanced business growth cycles class has been hard as there's an expansive amount of academic literature to familiarize yourself with and the models are hard to work through.
My other final is the last math requirement for the BSc and covers difference/differential equations and systems of equations. It's going to take a lot of preparation and practice to make it through...
Definitely a big old stress ball right now.

Finished my take home final in Rhetoric yesterday, although I am paranoid by the submission system.
2 in class finals coming up, one on Saturday morning at (cringe) 9 AM. It's basically 3 hours of continuous writing. I know the material, but I'm not looking forward to my hand cramping up into the first hour.
Definitely budgeted my time a lot better this term. A big reason for that is that I basically abandoned the idea of reading textbooks cover to cover, and just referenced them when necessary. I get ill when I think of all the time I wasted in the fall trying to comprehend some of the material in the various texts.
Good luck to the rest of you.

I have exams tomorrow (Numerical Methods), Sunday (Geotechnical Processes), Tuesday (Surveying), Thursday (Mechanics of Materials) and then the following Monday (Fluid Mechanics). Tomorrow's should be my easiest, it is open book in a class I have dominated so far. My studying today was printing crap off the internet and putting sticky notes all over the place. I am most worried about both Geotech and my Fluids. The prof I have for the Geotech exam doesn't teach a terribly difficult course, but he marked the midterm like a moron, so I'm a bit concerned about that aspect of things.
