In other news, Victoria Mboko with a quick turnaround got into the WTA 250K event in Parma and won her opening round match earlier today.

Novak and Andy are no longer working together - Hey Andy, there's a Canadian tennis player named Felix that could use your guidance.

Carlos matches are exciting changes of momentum and drama, but Sinner matches are as inevitable as mid-Big 3 era. It's just never in doubt no matter who's across the net, A or B game or otherwise.

Not a high quality match between Charlie and Jack Draper just now...Charlie got the win in straight sets, but far from his best today. I think Jack must be kicking himself that he couldn't force a 3rd and deciding set.

Both Victoria Mboko and Marina Stakusic have advanced to the quarter-finals of the WTA 250K event in Parma. 18 and 20 years old respectively, I don't think there's been a time when Canada has had this much depth in the women's game.

The domestic abuser never gives credit to his opponent - He was up 5-4 and 40-love and choked away the first set in a tie-break. Also was broken late in set 2. Again, way too passive and his forehand was terrible today.

I think he's playing exactly the way he needs to play and should continue without adjustment

Victoria Mboko just beat #43 ranked Xinyu Wang 6-4 6-0 to advance to the semi-finals in Parma. Currently at #124 in the live rankings.
Too bad Marina Stakusic lost earlier today or we would have had two Canadians in the semi-finals at this event.

Jannik Sinner just dusted Casper Ruud 6-0 6-1 at the Italian Open. Is this going to be the new norm going forward?

But I was specifically told the ball is too big and fluffy and the court is too slow and it's impossible to serve big and hit winners and get free points, and there's simply nothing you can do if the opponent just waits for you to make mistakes?

I see the phrase "servebot pusher" making the rounds and I think it applies to Fraudev.

Ruud was playing as well as anyone on clay this season and I thought this would be a big test for Sinner. Clearly he passed with flying colors. Pretty impressive for a guy off the tour for three months to come back at such a high level.

Charlie advances to the Italian Open final over Musetti 6-3 7-6. Tough day for both guys with the wind swirling causing plenty of issues out on court.

Alcaraz totally picked on Musetti's backhand in that tiebreaker with some poorly timed wind gusts just when he was swinging.

Victoria Mboko is into the final in Parma following a 6-1 6-3 win over #83 ranked Irina Camelia-Begu of Romania. She will face Mayar Sherif in the final on Saturday in the biggest final of her career. Go get that title Victoria!!

Tommy Paul just delivered a breadstick to Jannik Sinner. Not what I was expecting today.
Edit: So naturally Sinner bagels Tommy Paul in set 2.

Sinner won 9 games in a row (got out to a 3-love lead in set 3), but then appeared to pull a hammy. It certainly appears to be causing him issues as Paul has won the last two games.
Edit: Sinner guts it out winning 1-6 6-0 6-3. It will be interesting to see how serious the leg injury is and if he will be able to go versus Charlie. It might help that he gets a day off (final is on Sunday).

Mayar Sherif won the Parma final 6-4 6-4 over Victoria Mboko, but a heck of a wekk (two weeks really) for Victoria in Italy. Edging closer and closer to the top 100, she'll be there by the time the US Open rolls around (if not sooner).
