Collinsworth doesn't know the score, does he? Why is he talking like the Raiders should leave as little time as possible, you should score as fast as possible because you need a 2PT and that's not a gimme.

He needs to be fired before Belichick retires, otherwise there's no guarantee another team will offer him another shot at being the OC again. Smart future planning on his part to ensure he has time to come crawling back just in the nick of time.

I would think this should be his last HC gig at least until Belichick retires. He can run an okay offense but he's not a leader of men in the locker room as you never get the feeling that the players are buying in. Mark Davis is pretty patient and I figured McDaniels would get a 3rd season even if they miss the playoffs. Now I'm not so sure as he made Carr the scapegoat for last season and his hand picked ex-Patriot QB has been crap and the team is getting worse not better. Such is the life of a Raiders fan.

It's pretty much true of all sports, but southern teams just don't have truly dedicated fanbases. If the team ain't good, there's always good weather to enjoy. Whereas northern teams, in sports over winter especially, well, what else are you gonna do?
