Maybe the most blatant, but Despres' leaping headshot at Smid, which ended up costing him the entire season, is more egregious IMO.
I am still dumbfounded that Despres didn't even get a call from the league for that.

NHLs problem is and always will be that they call penalties based on result and not actions. Ref called a penalty and then went to see if Monahan was ok. He was not dead so it's just 2 minutes.

That **** in Pittsburgh who got Smid was way worse, imo. That could very well contribute to the end of Smid's career and the league did nothing.

Bouma and Raymond are actually pretty identical in PPG and GPG. I don't think Bob is gonna change up the power play that they've practiced all year, unless they have a few days to work on it.

Hopefully Monahan is okay and doesn't have a concussion. A lot of the time, the effects don't happen until the player's off the adrenaline in the dressing room.
