Gillies over-committed to Gaudreau at the side of the net on the PP, and Arnold had an empty net to pop it in.
Lots of praise now for Arnold and Gaudreau from the BC PBP guys.

2-2 after 2.
Jankowski was invisible in the first, but he had a really good 2nd. He drew an early penalty in front of the net and got a lot of ice time on the PP during the period, which led to his assist.
20 saves for Gillies so far. 1G-1A for Gaudreau. 1G for Arnold. 1A for Jankowski. No points for Gilmour, but he has looked good too.

.900 SV% for Gillies and goals for Johnny and Arnold as well as Janko getting an assist? Just the kind of game I was hoping for.

JOHNNY AGAIN! BC up 4-2 late in the third.
He got in behind the d and had a partial break. Gillies made the first save, but Gaudreau got his stick on the puck as he skated past and tapped it through the pads.
...And another assist for Johnny. Gillies was pulled late. Gaudreau flipped it out to center ice and Hayes got the empty netter.

Jankowski got a couple of good scoring chances in the third, but wasn't able to beat the goalie.
The GWG was a high tip in front of Gillies. It was very close to being too high, but hard to tell on the replay. It was the only BC goal without a Flames pick in on the scoring.
Final score: 5-2 for Boston College.
Gillies: 26 saves on 30 shots.
Jankowski: 1A, 3 shots, +1. 4 for 14 in the dot.
Gilmour: 2 shots, 1 penalty
Gaudreau: 2G 2A, 2 shots, +3
Arnold: 1G, 4 shots, +3, 10 for 24 in the dot.
Overall, a good game for all the Flames picks. The 5-2 score doesn't do justice to the Providence effort.

That's because the coaches take most of his puck touches and give them to the younger n00bs so they can have confidence going forward. Stupid coaches and little baby n00bs.

He had a chance for the hat trick tonight. He was on the ice with the empty net, but made the smart play to dump it out to center and had to settle for the assist.
39 points in 20 games now. He has moved into the national lead for goals, points, points per game, and plus/minus. He already led the nation in GWG.
Somehow, he was only the second star of the game.

I assume it's one of those situations, where they pick the three stars early and Gaudreau's last two points were in the last 2:10 of the game.

Gordon has 3 assists as the Broncos are up 5-0 in the 3rd vs Saskatoon
Klimchuk has 1 assist as the Pats are up 3-1 late in the 3rd vs Calgary
Nothing for Poirier tonight, they lost 1-0 vs Victoriaville. Roy also scoreless as Brandon is down 4-1 vs Prince Albert

Draft eligible next year? Where's he ranked?
Lightweight left wing, the one thing the Flames aren't in need of.

It's a shame we picked this year to suck when 7 of the top 10 picks will all be left wingers.

Which makes it even more important to get either Reinhart or Ekblad. A top calibre right handed shot on this team would be nice.
The Russian Red Army may have all shot left, but the Flames are a long way from the Red Army.

Not sure if Gordon will get a contract this year, but he's been making it hard to ignore him. Good.
