Regarding the Sens using Righteous Smoke: The Flames used it in the game against the Islanders on September 17. The Sens played their first game at Kanata Tire on September 19. So, the Flames used it first.
Plus, there's the whole fire thing, which is slightly more appropriate for the Flames.

At first i was a lot more stoked about Rage, but after listening to it a couple of times its not really a goal song. I agree with others that none of the 4 are goal songs, especially The Dudes song.
Blackhawks's is not really a goal song and yet it's one of the most iconic goal songs in maybe not just hockey, but all of North America sports. Their goal song is part of their identity.
Besides, nothing can be worse than the Leafs using 'Harlem Shake' as a goal song for a few games.

Yeah, Chelsea Dagger is awesome as a goal song... it somehow manages to be a triple threat in that it's catchy, celebratory, and mocking all at the same time.
By the way, I said they all suck cause I think they're all worse than Barbra Striesand. Well Righteous Smoke works decently so I'm not against it but the other ones are awful as goal songs.
I actually really like the Fall Out Boy tune, and think it would be great for montage's, etc, but it just sounds awkward as a goal song.
I thought initially I wouldn't really care as long as it wasn't The Dudes, but after voting over and over and over again for Sleep Now in the Fire, I guess I care more than I thought haha.
It sounds like rage against the machine is most popular. I really don't like rage, but I'm just really happy it's not going to be something "alberta" sounding, like nickleback.
I still think fire, fire by motorhead would have been perfect, but ya can't win em all!
The thing I hated about the clip they showed for Righteous smoke is they cut it at least 5 seconds to short. At the islanders game the end portion played for awhile longer and IMO could turn into a decent crowd participation portion.
I figure this would be as good a place to ask as any.
Does anyone know what the name of the maritime type song is they play at the saddledome every now and again? It has no words, i can't sing it to you and i couldn't even tell you what instrument they use.

My best guess.... Shipping Up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys
