So, Tyson Sexsmith eh?

I take it he isn't Sharks property anymore then.

I will not be surprised in the least if he puts up solid numbers with a Troy Ward coached team in front of him.....that is if he gets any significant time with the Heat, which isn't likely if Kipper is day to day.

Very painful game to watch tonight. It was like a train wreck.

Nine freaking minor penalties. Nemisz had 33% of those.

Hard to get any rhythm going with the kind of penalties the refs were handing out tonight. Forgive, and forget, my friends.

Ward said in last night's post-game interview that they had another guy in mind for the backup role, but couldn't get him.

Sexsmith was just across the bridge in Mission, so they gave him a shout.

They must've got that first guy they wanted.

It says on the Heat website that Sexsmith was only ever going to be available for one match. Curious to see who plugs in next.

Few reports on twitter say goaltender Grant Rollheiser from the Utah Grizzlies has been called up to Abbotsford

Pasco Valana ‏@goaliecoach Elite Goalies Grant Rollheiser joins Calgary Flames affiliate Abbotsford Heat.! Kick Ass Rolli! You have prepared your whole life for this

Former 6th round pick of the Leafs in the 2008 draft and is from Chilliwack.

He was also at the Flames rookie camp in October

So who replaces Street?

Wahl going to back, or do they have someone sitting around already?

Don't know yet. Ben Walter's got a minor injury right now, so now they're down two of their best centres. He had full practice today, not sure if he'll be in tomorrow.

Sylvester sat last game, so he'll be in for sure.

The AHL standings are ridiculous.

The Heat are 4 points out of 1st in the Conference, yet only 5 points from 9th.

Packed in there like sardines.

Down 3-2 with a minute left. Sylvester tied the game and the Heat won in a shootout.

Game-tying goal was Kolanos' cross zone pass to Max who stopped the puck and wristed it on net where Sylvester got a piece of it. Such a clutch goal.

The shootout was wonderful too! They went 3/4 in the SO. Horak with a nasty deke, Kolanos with a stretch around the goalie's leg and in, Sylvester missed, and Max went five-hole to seal it.

They stole 2 points. Definitely shouldn't have won this game haha.
