Doc Rivers Son bashes Bill Simmons/defends his dad on twitter:
My father has never quit anything in his life. He now has an NBA Championship, and helped in rejuvenating the Celtics.
That’s why he is 3rd winningest coach in Celtics history. Those are just credentials, but you already know this.
Your the same guy who was trying to run my dad out of town when it seemed like the Celtics were down and out.
Then you praised him like GOD himself when he helped turn things around. Where is your loyalty.
You know nothing about winning, about sacrifice, and being a champion. You sit behind a desk and pick on people.
You are a Internet bully. There is a reason nobody will side with you. They like my dad better than you.
Magic, Wilbon, Shaq, Ernie, etc… They know my father and they know about being a professional at the highest LEVEL.
If you don’t have all the facts, which you clearly DON’T, I suggest you sit down and shut up. Good day sir.
Simmons is 100% right about Rivers quitting on the Celtics. The talk that he would come back if the Clippers stuff didn't work out is absurd. What players are going to be committed to a coach who clearly doesn't want to be there?

CP3 verbally anti-climatically signed the extension with the Clips. Still don't think the Clips are over the hump unless Griffin develops a jump shot like Lebron did.
You gotta give Dwight credit, he's managed to unseat both LeBron and Kobe as the least likeable player in the NBA. Might be the only meaningful accomplishment in his career but its something. Ultimately I think there is little to no chance Captain Malcontent is going to pass on the extra $30 million and he'll be a Laker.

Espn calculated his take home pay lol, he would make 1 million more after taxes in LA.
I just find it extremely odd that the incumbent team needs to sell the team to the player with a big presentation. If he doesn't want to be a laker that's fine, he was traded to LA so it's not really his fault.
I just find it hard to believe he's the future of the team if he stays, I don't think we can with him.
It's embarassing watching the Lakers bend over for this tool - let him go to Houston,. Harden couldn't win with Durant and Westbrook - can't see Hardan/Dwight being any better. Lakers will suck this year but will have tons of cap space the next year.

but kobe doesn't care about cap space. He wants to win now
The Suns will receive Clippers point guard Eric Bledsoe and forward Caron Butler while the Bucks – who facilitated the deal with a sign-and-trade of Redick – get two second-round draft picks, sources said.
Redick received a four-year, $27 million contract that includes a trade kicker, sources said.
Phoenix can't negotiate a contract extension with Bledsoe until after the deal is finalized on July 10.
New Clippers executive VP and coach Doc Rivers had dinner with Redick on Tuesday night and further solidified Redick's belief that joining the Clippers and competing for a championship was his desire, sources said.
The Bucks traded for Redick at the February deadline and ultimately decided against re-signing him for the nearly $8 million per season the Clippers did. The Bucks get a trade exception back in the deal, but it has to be renounced because they're under the salary cap.
The Clippers and Suns will each send one future second round pick to the Bucks.
The deal was conceived and completed within 24 hours, beginning Monday and finishing early Tuesday afternoon. Once Chris Paul notified the Clippers officially that he would sign a five-year extension, Rivers was willing to part with Bledsoe in a deal, sources said.
As an assistant GM with the Boston Celtics, McDonough – who was hired as Suns GM in April – had been part of trying to acquire Bledsoe in a package for Kevin Garnett. McDonough was the catalyst on Monday and Tuesday to try to complete the deal, officials in the talks said.
The lakers presentation went real well, which is to be expected but I still see this bum going to Houston. He doesn't have the desire to be great, and be great in the #1 market in the NBA.
Lakers brought in the big guns - execs from AEG and Time Warner were part of the presentation. Still don't think it's enough to keep him - i also am sure he will go to Houston along with a Sign&Trade for Josh Smith. That would probably make Houston the worst free throw shooting team in the history of the NBA
