Top server vs one of the best returners -round 2. I wonder if these two opponents may lead to a fan fav rivalry in the near future similar to the excitement of a Nadal vs Federer or Agassi vs Sampras (if they continually to improve their seeding in slams).

This will be a hard test for Milos.

It will probably be the biggest victory of his career if he can pull out a win... I'll keep my expectations tempered though....

Sounds like it's raining in NY already.

Going to be one of those stop-start-stop-start nights where they will play whenever there is a pocket of non-rain which might actually favour the underdog Raonic because the match will have no rhythm. Murray will whine.

We'll see!

Cancelled my cable subscription in preparation for the lockout. I'll check TSN's site though.

Just got back from NYC and I spent a day at the US Open where I saw Raonic beat Blake in the grandstand and saw Murray beat Lopez at Armtstrong. I must say the US Open has to be one of the coolest sporting events I have ever been too. So sad to be watching it back home now, I wish I was back at Flushing Meadows.

Also seeing Milos's serve live is awesome.

I've never anticipated a tennis match like this one, and I'm a mediocre fan.

Even if Raonic doesn't get his ace but still gets his first serve in, it looks like an almost point for him each time.

The four guys you mention have a combined 51 majors between them, compared to...zero for Muzza/Milos. I think they have to do a bit more than just improve their seeding to get anywhere near that level of rivalry. Maybe amongst Canadian viewers we can get the same level of excitement though, if they can meet more frequently at the back end of big tourneys. Probably will only happen on fast hard courts like this for now.

Milos broken. A couple bad second serve choices could cost him the set. Let's hope he rebounds mentally

Milos is actually playing quite well.. Murray's just playing out of this world.

Not taking anything from Murray, but Milos seemed kind of tired=unforced errors galore. He is not hitting deep shots, his inside outs are not near the mark and he just looks fatigue-he needs a Red Bull.

At least Milos got beaten and didn't beat himself, the annoying losses are the ones where he plays like total poop.

Or he'll be rusty, he hasn't played since Saturday afternoon!

I don't think he's playing today, forecast calls for rain all day.

having trouble wiping the grin off my face watching Muzza go down...another roadblock to Fedslam #18 could be removed.

oh and happy trails to other Andy...I wasn't your fan but the US sure could use someone as consistent as you were over the last decade.
