OK State has 7 wins aginst division 1 opponents with winning records (Lousiana-Lafayette, Tulsa, Texas, Mizzou, Baylor, Kansas State, Oklahoma) to Bama's 3 (Penn State, Arkansas, Auburn)

OK State strength of schedule was 6 while Bama's was 23.

OK State opponents record was (73-52), Bama's was (63-49)

And then you have the fact that you know...Bama already lost to LSU...at home.

But Bama passes the eyeball test (which can replace resume when talking about the SEC)
Bama played more than two ranked teams.

I really hope Griffin wins the Heisman. He's the most exciting player I've seen this year. If Mathieu hadn't been suspended, I think he'd have a pretty good shot. As long as we get away from the "best player on the best team" vibe they've been on recently.

As for the championship game, I know one team absolutely deserves to be there, and I don't give a damn who they are playing or should have played anymore. They have over a month to prepare, LSU is almost unbeatable under Miles with that amount of preparation. Can't wait!

They have played more ranked teams that are no longer ranked. Like Florida, they were ranked 10th when Bama played them.

Who cares?

Bama shouldn't get credit because SEC teams get massively over-rated. Florida is not a top 25 team now therefore Bama shouldn't get credit for beating them when they were.

Because teams like Texas are never overrated, or Michigan, or Notre Dame

They can recycle all of Mark Mangino's KU gear. Imagine the savings!

I hope Griffin wins too. Frankly, I would love it if Denver drafted the kid. He is extremely impressive both on the field and off. Great arm, maybe the best in college football this year, extremely fast and very smart.

As for the Championship game, I don't like the rematch but it doesn't matter. LSU will destroy Alabama this time around. 2 TD margin of victory. Suck it Saban.

What a stupid hire.

I think Weis is a great coach, but he can't recruit and any coach at KU has to be able to recruit...and recruit in Texas. Weis' ties are not to Texas. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I'm not a KU football fan, but sheeesh.

Purple Panthers PAIN!

I can't believe a self respecting college from a hard working Northern town like Cedar Falls, IA plays football in a dome.

They're about to find out what Missoula in December is all about.

18-1 all time for the Griz. ESPN. NOW>

GO GRIZ!

Montana up 28-10 at the half. They get the ball first in the second half. They are in a good spot, in more way than one.

I'm hoping the Cats can hang with Sam Houston State. I'd classify myself as cautiously optimistic. Emphasis on the "cautious".

Edit: My favorite sign at the Griz game: "Win or lose, at least we don't live in Iowa."

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Montana State needed to control the clock and score touchdowns, not field goals, to be able to limit the inevitable big plays from SHSU. Texas speed was just too much for them. Maybe next year.

Nope, I-AA aka FCS.
Between the big boys in D-I/FBS and Division II.

I have a feeling Akpla may be playing on Sundays next year. He's a great blocker, he's fast, and has a catch in every game he's played as a Bobcat.

I'm glad he realized the err of his ways and left U of Oregon for the greener pastures of Bozeman.

RG3 wins the Heisman trophy. That is some catch, no video review needed to see if that one hit the turf.
