The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
What is with Jacksons obsession with these 'car chase' scenes lately?

Watch Stephen Colbert's Heartwarming 'Lord of the Rings' Speech Late-night host recalls his relationship with J.R.R. Tolkien's books and Peter Jackson's film adaptations
"The only problem, as I saw it, was that at a total running time of 11 and a half hours, they were too damn short."
When asked if Galadriel would finally get to see some battlefield action this time around, Blanchett said, "I lose my ####… Elven ####," with Jackson adding, "She gets to kick Sauron's ass a little in this next film."
It fits the content of the movie better than the previous title.
From Wikipedia:
Quote:
The third film was titled There and Back Again in August 2012. In April 2014, Jackson changed the title of the film to The Battle of the Five Armies as he thought it better suited the situation of the film. He stated on his Facebook page, "There and Back Again felt like the right name for the second of a two film telling of the quest to reclaim Erebor, when Bilbo’s arrival there, and departure, were both contained within the second film. But with three movies, it suddenly felt misplaced—after all, Bilbo has already arrived “there” in the Desolation of Smaug." Shaun Gunner, the chairman of The Tolkien Society, supported the decision: "‘The Battle of the Five Armies’ much better captures the focus of the film but also more accurately channels the essence of the story."

Dunno if you guys watched the extra features in the Hobbit series. But it really seems like everyone hates the movies. The actors, even Jackson himself.
Last trailer, and please spare me all the bitching about there being too many movies, it's boring:

Battle of Five Armies? Meh. Too many. I think it would have worked better as a battle of two armies, or three at most. Five seems like it's just trying too hard.

LOL are you serious? Can you give some examples? I don't really care to dig up the extras for these terrible films. Peter Jackson has gone full George Lucas was these films, incorporating so much CG and pointless action sequences to extend runtimes that it's painful to watch.
