The comments all defending Bouchard because it was a bad goal. It was, but Bouchard looked like he was skating in cement there. And his flop at the puck was pathetic.
Ekholm was pretty bad there too.

Escaping criticism is Lenard’s minder. Mavi was actually closer to the oilers net than boo boo but skated laterally instead of skating towards his own net. I know that he was just trying to avoid the minus.
How the “greatest player in forever and infinity times 1,000” is so terrible defensively, and escapes criticism, is pure oiler.

Such 3 on 3/skills comp darlings.
How many games won in regulation this year, 5?
Pathetic given how much they hyped themselves going into the year.

And of course the league mandated last minute PP to even tie it up.

Oilers should move to that 3 on 3 league. It's what they're built for.
Might actually win a championship there!

Oilers are gonna be shocked when they find out once again that there's no 3 on 3 or shootouts in the playoffs.

The NHL officials will figure out a way………. The favoritism and timing of penalties (as well as the blind eye turned to obvious calls against the Oilers) is a huge black eye to the league.

Prioritizing UFA's over their own draft picks this summer is such a beautiful own-goal.
Holloway $2.3mm/year.
Jeff Skinner ($3mm/year)....6 goals so far. Started December with around 15 mins TOI per game. Steadily declined throughout this month and now is 8:06 and 7:53 TOI the last two games.

Of course they get a 6pm start at home against Ottawa who played the late game in Vancouver last night

NHL has to get those league darlings all the favorable matchups they can. Its is a joke. I'm surprised the Senators started the rookie goalie last night. Would have though they'd save him for the Oilers game.
