The trade that one Oilers fan said would make it happen is Advirsson, Stecher, a 1st they don't even have, and a 3rd for Tuch and Byram.

Lol so shipping out the guys that didn't work out for them for better ones?
Because Buffalo who are looking to improve themselves would be lining up for that package over others that would be on the table lol.
I like that prior to the season I said Arvidsson was made of glass and would be sitting much of the season and oiler fans took that personally. Their expectations that history will have little bearing and players will bring peak production (despite TOI difference), play 82 games and fit in perfectly is pretty amusing.
Always low hanging fruit for a 'told ya so' to be had with those guys up in Delulu-ville.

Well, there is a clip of him coasting in the defensive zone while a goal is being scored against, pretty much every single game, so I'd have to say... yes

What on earth could the Oilers even trade for Tuch?
How about the prospect that Buffalo was willing to toss aside? I'm sure they want him back.

I'm surprised those Oilers fans didn't say, Hollaway, Broberg , a 1st for Tuch and Byram.

A package for Tuch and Byram starts with Bouchard, O’Reilly and 2026 1st. Bouchard is grossly overrated because of McPoints. I see Bouchard and Byram as close to equal, arguably Byram may be worth more due to only being 23. Tuch is worth a 2026 1st + based on his production and contract.
Oilers fans are the most clueless fans in the game.

Bouchard is basically Mike Green 2.0. A rover of sorts that plays little to no defense. Although without McDrai feeding him passes Bouchard is probably a 50 point/-40 Dick Tarnstrom type player.

Mike Green moved better and moved the puck better than Bouchard. Especially in his early days.
Bouchard might be the most overrated player in the league
For the record, I’m not disagreeing with you. Bouchard doesn’t offer much away from the puck

They better get him locked down to an 8 x $10MM quick….. he would be in high demand.

The Athletic clearly bought and paid for by the Oilers. Lengthy article posted felating future Norris Trophy winner Ty Emberson.
Am I missing something? Is there another team in the league where Emberson is even in the lineup? I see Emberson as the Flames equivalent of Hanley. Apparently Emberson is a heavyweight now as well. Also apparently when the Oilers acquire Provorov from the Jackets they will insist Emberson be part of the return.
The continuous ego stroking articles and marketing push for the Oilers gets ridiculously old. Anyone who knows anything about hockey can’t possibly believe the Oilers are actual contenders with that lineup regardless of what the talking heads say. I know I have talked to several former NHL players who just shake their heads and laugh about them.

Great comparison - a slower, denser, Mike Green

But his ability to look off a pass is far elite to that of Green
