Don’t get me wrong; outside of Duehr and Ruzi making the club and my hopes that Klapka becomes a big man replacement I think Zary is knocking on the door and is kinda in the same boat as Solovyov and is the first callup in line during the season. I like everything I’m seeing in Zary but I also know he fell off a cliff last post season and the Flames need to continue to have patience with his development. I’m hoping he sees some NHL action for sure through the year but I’m not so sure that the opening night roster is the best spot for him at this time. Who knows though, it’s all subjectively speaking of course!

Considering the lack of draft capital the Bolts have and that the contracts are a wash I could get behind that. Flames need toughness and he’d bring that in spades though he did have injury issues after the bolts traded for him. Interesting trade to consider no doubt!

I have a hard time believing that the Bolts would trade a Cal Foote, a 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th for Jeannot only to then flip him for Vladar.

I would be looking at Ethan Gauthier as the starting point from TB.

He's 26 years old with 66 points in 172 games. Do the Flames even want him? He looks to me like a guy living off that career season.

Jeannot for Vladar would be a steal for the Flames. He brings alot to the table.

Maybe if Vladar had the contract he did last year. At this term and cap hit its a tougher contract to move for a pick. Likely a Phippe Meyers or Conor Sheary would need to move out to afford the move.

I wonder if TBL look at Aaron Dell, and Jaroslav Halak as options now. Maybe even Mike Smith if he's not really injured.

Jeannot is tough as nails. Would be a great add but doubt Tampa ever considers that.

I’m a big fan of Jeannot, and even I can admit he’s not as good as his 24-goal/41 point season, but he does bring a lot to the table- things we don’t have on this team. Don’t see TB parting with him, though- even though they are probably very embarrassed by what they gave up to get him.

The one thing about the Flames goaltending is once they trade Vladar they have absolutely no depth. If one guy goes down they have a strong safety net and if they move Vladar they are a Markstrom/Wolf injury away from Dansk getting games.
