Resident Evil 4 was phenomenal. Much better than 2 which I thought they butchered with Mr X and 3 which just wasn’t very good.

Can’t wait for whatever remake is next. 0 and 1? Code Veronica? Either way I’d be happy.

NCAA 25 might be the worst release I’ve ever paid for. Even on sale I feel like I’ve been ripped off. 14 for my 360 is still a superior game in every conceivable way. EA is evil and needs to die.

yeah, leaks from previous spot-on sources say 0 and Code Veronica are in development. Rumours also say announcement for 9 is right around the corner.

Capcom needs to remake (not remaster) Resident Evil 5. That's a game that needs a complete do-over.

They should do a Resident Evil (1) remake in the new style, not sure why they skipped it. Yeah they've already remade it once but that remake is older than RE4 original and was still in the old school style, just with better graphics.

my personal ranking would be Code Veronica > 0 > 1 > 5. Code Veronica is a fan favorite and absolutely deserves the remake treatment that 2 and 4 got (they botched 3 IMO). I have a love/hate relationship with 0 ... I think it explored some fun things (like switching between the characters to solve puzzles etc), but they completely botched the inventory system. Definitely deserves a remake to correct that madness. I'd also be up for a re-remaster of 1 ... playing that game with an over-shoulder view instead of fixed camera angles and tank controls? Sign me up. I never really enjoyed 5 tbh. Might be me, but it just never clicked.

I'd second a Dino Crisis remake though.

Well I broke down and bought an OLED steam deck. I figure between me and one of my boys it should get a lot of usage.

Right before the Autumn sale, too... prepare to spend... well very little money honestly because the sale usually has a ton of stuff that's so cheap and so good on the deck that you can get like, a dozen masterpieces for about 100 bucks.

... But you actually have to get Ori and the Will O' The Wisps, it's non-optional. Federal law.

Yeah I see that they don't discount the hardware but lots of games are on sale. I was super excited when I saw all the points I got for the purchase and equally bummed that they don't count towards games. I will add that game to my wish list.

Enjoy those custom keyboards and avatars! I have 200,000 points and nothing to spend them on.

They do discount the steam deck but I think it’s only been for the LCD version so far.

Check out the Steam Deck thread to see ways to get more out of it but it’s fine leaving it stock.

Stalker 2 is fun. Challenging though, I keep dying randomly and have no idea why. Slowly getting used to how to survive.

I like most AC games but usually by the end it's kind of a slog to finish. Valhalla was especially bad for that. None are ever truly 9 or 10/10 games, but usually always solid 7 or 8/10.

I consider Odessey to be the best of all the series and that bar as to what an AC game should be. As close to a 9 or 10/10 game. One of the best open world games ever. Make sure you select Kassandra as your character. Most badass female gaming character in history IMO.

Odyssey is #1 for sure. A rare game where I just didn’t want it to end. Kassandra is the only choice (or should be).

Origins is #2. Not quite as good but another one where I did everything you could do and enjoyed every moment.

Valhalla was #3 for me. I know some people didn’t like it that much but I thought it was great overall.

The rest feel pretty dated so I found it hard to get into them. But yeah, if nothing else, those three are worth the package and Odyssey is just fantastic.

Black Flag was a 10/10 for me. Loved that game.
