That top line looked deadly when Iginla was on it, kind of like our first game.

I really hate calling a Stanley Cup winning coach an idiot, but if two things don't happen to start next game...

1. Luongo starts
2. Iginla starts on the top line

Then he is officially an idiot.

Babcock you babcock... take note.

Did you see that pressure when Iginla was on the top line there? Did you see those fataing amazing chances? Did you? Huh huh?
Ya, you probably did, but then again you'll say we didn't need Iginla there for scoring, but hitting instead.

FATA YOU

Huge props to Miller who singlehandedly won this for the US.
I look forward to seeing the next game against our neighbours to the south.

I really hope Babcock learned something after this game; stop rotating the lines and stick with your lines that work. After watching 3 games, it's evident which players are clutch and which players aren't. Babcock came into the Olympics with a game plan, that's fine, we all did, but now he must adapt to what's happening on the ice.

i effing hate that useless SJ line.

They're good in the nhl. not against international competition. they play on the periphery and try to force fancy plays.

Crosby, iggy + nash = canadian hockey.
big bodies, rocket slapshots and crash the net.

Well, since this is Babcock's bizzaro world, Iginla will be benched. Perry just earned a permanent spot on the top line. Brodeur will be the only goalie we see for the rest of the tourney... don't even bother dressing a backup.

Babcock and the upper management have made a lot of questionable decisions with this team up to this point.

A gold or silver medal is in serious jeopardy right now, especially since if TC gets to the quarters, they will be facing Russia.

I am steaming.

that's a half-a$% skating by Perry!! I can't believed Kesler beats him on that play.

The players that Babcock counted on the most didn't deliver. Brodeur, Pronger, Niedermayer. Crosby didn't play as well until the 3rd period. Too bad for the lost but at least they are done yet.

Question now is, is Babcock play Brodeur or Luongo? I have to think Luongo will start next game. As much as I want to see Brodeur starts again, everyone in Canada will have to question Babcock if he starts Brodeur on the way he played tonight.

Canada losing to Germany would be a fitting end.
Hated this team since it was named.

I'd say Brodeur played himself out of the #1 spot....altho it is Babcock, so next game we'll probably see Martin with the C, Pronger with a halo above his helmet, Iggy will be filling water bottles and Corey Perry with the key to the city...

So...if:
1) Brodeur chokes
2) Miller plays amazing, and
3) The refs only watch Team Canada for 80% of the game...
The US can beat Canada.

Didn't in the first and second. In fact, as a reward for his hat trick, he benched him.
Also, left Brodeur in there WAY longer than he should have.
Put Perry out there in the last minute.
Gave the older defencemen that were playing like garbage way too much ice time.
