But I think that the name "Victoria Park Gardens" would've been outstanding, classy and timeless. Don't know how you easily incorporate Scotia tho...

The flood didn't go that high. There wasn't flooding on the club level, which is above row 13 at the Dome.

Was the similar with the older Event Centre design. The full concourses for the Premier and Upper Levels would be big for spreading out the traffic as opposed to just the one full concourse level at the Dome (and sections that don't have any bathrooms on them like the 202-208 and 216-222, which force a lot of people to the main concourse).

Has anyone here been to a game at Little Caesars? How hard is it to get around when it's full for a game?
All of the new renderings (plus the 2021 plans) indicate the new building will have a nearly identical layout to Detroit's.

As long as people keep rushing out as soon as the game is over, I will be happy. I just like to let it calm down before we leave.

I’ve been in Little Caesar’s for a Pistons game. It was the home opener so full arena. I can’t remember ever feeling crowded walking around the concourse. If that’s the comp then we’ll be in for a great experience.

I like it.
Hopefully all concourses will be open to everyone so you can visit your friends.
Don’t like that the lower concourse in the Dome is closed to the general public.

I’ve only been to 5 NHL arenas. Little Caesars was by far the best.
That’s all I have.

Not sure the handwringing about the concourse. It will be fine like virtually every other building.
It was a problem here because of:
A) The Chrysler display in the west entrance.
B)The additional vendors that took space along the ends and corners, such as the three or four hard liquor bars and other vendors that lined the concourse walls and stuck out into the concourse.
Those things that took floor space away were not in the design plans in 1980, for a rink, recall, that was over 20k capacity when opened.
It was a worse layout before 1995 reno with the stair wells going up to the double lettered sections, but really, there was more floor space in the concourse as you could walk "under" the upper sections, but in the renos, they removed the concourse stairs but then replaced that area that was under the upper sections, by all those additional vendors you see when entering the main doors. So while there was less obstructions to mauneuver around, there was also less floor space. Again, capacity before the reno was 1500 seats or so more than after.

Zero chance.
Absolutely there will be some sort of Presidents Club for those who buy seat licenses in the area, or at least have seats in that area. And my guess is security to get there will be a lot tighter than now (nor will it be a single file utility stairwell down from the main concourse).

Hopefully a plaque at Center ice and then some sort of Coke Stage during the stampede.

I think it would be really cool if they could manage to demolish the eastern half, save the western half, invest some money into the remaining structure and use it as an open air amphitheatre. Basically like the current grandstand but more of an intimate setting.

I dig this. We were at the the amphitheatre in Houston and it was fantastic.

If it’s anything like Rogers, and it’s the same architects then there will be a club area, but not on the main concourse. The main concourse and upper concourse are open to all. The center ice section plus one one each side in the lower bowls are club seats, you get checked going into them from the main concourse, there is also an entry to the club level from the main concourse which is down at ice level underneath the stands. There are rails along the sides of these sections in the bowl so you can’t get to them from within the bowl.
You also can’t access the suites and loge levels.

I've been to 2 pistons games, ironically both against the KD/Curry led Warriors, so it was a packed house. The layout, the sight lines, the concourse flow, the bars/restaurants that are accessible from outside and inside the arena, its a spectacular venue. Ive been to quite a few in both the NBA and NHL, it's by far the nicest IMO.
Clearly the CSEC feel the same way if the goal is to emulate and even surpass what they've built. If they can build the seating area, where the feel is you are sitting on top of the ice, which adds to the atmosphere, we are in for a treat.

Each entry lobby has indicated a suspended public art. NW is “water”, SW is “wind”, NE is “earth” and “fire” will be suspended in the team store at the NW corner.
The food hall has five vendor locations.
Historic Saddledome commemoration to be located in the public realm.
Indigenous language welcome graphic over SW entrance doors.
South plaza will have Indigenous culture and member nation recognition features.
South plaza east end will have stepped wood seating. It really looks like this could become a public skating rink.
NW plaza will have a “rock feature”. For Oiler folk to play on.
202 trees will be planted around the Place.
I don’t see any annotations but yes there are lots of solar panels on the roof in the isometric.
