Portugal-France figures to be the worst match of the tournament. England terrorism will likely make that match horrible. The other two should be fun.

Germany would play France and Swiss vs turkey would be your semis if that’s your quarter final predictions.

French in a dull affair.
Dutch in a good game.
English with their best game so far, will fall flat in semis though.
Germany Spain will go to extra time, flip a coin.

Alright. Lets get to the Meat of it then.

Spain vs. Germany.

Paella vs. Bratwurst.

Obviously I'm pulling for ze Germans over those tapas eating, fish-stealing, siesta loving, sangria swilling ne'er-do-well Spaniards! Get real jobs!!

But I'm fully expecting this to be a cagey affair. Once again head over heart, I think Spain is the better team, I'm hoping ze Germans can pull a rabbit out of their hat.

Deutschland Uber Alles!!

Portugal vs. France.

Bacalhau vs. French Fries

Both teams have been pretty abysmal at this tournament. I think in terms of overall more complete teams and talent, France should win this but it would be foolish to discount the Portuguese. They have a solid team and game-breakers.

Both of these games could easily go either way.

Germany looks half a step slow in their challenges

Yeah, they do look slightly slow. That Pedri challenge is odd to me.

It wasn't a great challenge, no question, but I think he hurt himself more by hurling himself to the turf.

And looked like Kroos got the ball to me. You never want to see a guy get hurt though

Spain is carrying the play but I think Germany has had the best chance of the game. Havertz is a problem for the Spain CBs, gonna need him to bury one of these

The fact Lamine will be in tournaments for probably the next 20 years, and he's arguably one of the best in the world already....damn.

Feels like Spain have gone defensive too early, Germany all over them now.

Pretty good pull down by the Spainish player on the shot that hit the post. Analysts say if he stayed in his feet he scores, it’s tough when he’s got his jersey half ripped off.

Spain better hope Germany don't equalize, otherwise their substitutions leave them with basically no hope in attack.

If he stays on his feet he can't shoot. He has to lean back. And hard to be pulled back by someone in front of you.
