Alot to be proud of here, this shows Canada is not an easy out. Two very big games coming up against Croatia and Morocco!

Dominated most of the game; a missed penalty and two missed calls away from a crazy upset.

Lots of positives for Herdman:
Counters - A
High Press - B
Attack thru play development - C
Set pieces - F
Defending - B

Ultimately he outcoached Martinez and Canada deserved better. Build upon, and move on.

Maybe to some. But Canada doesn’t suck and our goal should be higher than just happy to be here.

Canada chances of advancing were always slim, and losing 1-0 to Belgium has not changed their odds. Obviously a draw would blow their chances wide open, but I never dreamed that might be a missed pk away from happening.

Gutsy performance from the guys. Unfortunately unable to get one past the Belgian keeper. But if they play like this they have a real shot in the next 2 games.

That was an excellent game by Canada. Belgium's keeper was excellent and made the difference, but that was quite a bit better than I expected out of the Canadian team.

going to need at least a win and a tie. This wasnt the worst result as far as goal differential so that's a plus.

Canada just gave the #2 team in the entire world fits and if not for a bit of luck and lack of finish, would have beaten them.

This is fantastic for the team and the entire program as a whole. If they can play like this in their next two games they have a chance to go through.

Funny how that game changes so many peoples perspective.

I feel like the casual sentiment coming into the game was "Don't get blown out"

After that performance and a missed penalty the sentiment was "How didn't we win!"

That's not perspective. Your own eyes saw it.

I do wonder how different this game looks if they score on that PK.

Almost felt like that miss made the rest of the team a bit nervous around goal.

Squeezing the sticks too tight to use a Canadian term.

tough game to lose considering how well Canada played... before the game, I was hoping for a draw, but watching play, I thought for sure Canada would win it.

tough to accept a moral victory when Canada dominated the game.

Hopefully that makes them more hungry for the next game versus Croatia

When it does, my experience was that it sinks pretty low. Didn't expect to be that bummed, but still proud.

What a great performance. A result would have been great obviously but they can prove it was no fluke in these next two games.
