Now that is how to close out a series. Congrats to Winnipeg. Now time to end the anomaly of playoff hockey in Vegas. Go Jets Go.

The Jets were the better team. More of their players stepped up whereas the Predators not only had shaky goaltending but several of their key skaters (Josi, Ellis, Turris, Arvidsson, Fiala to name a few) were very forgettable and often looked slow/tired.

Yes and i shudder to think of how many here so badly wanted us to land Turris. Yuk.

it was certainly partly his fault...guy was terrible at home

you can't win with .800 or even worse goal tending, it is the most important position in hockey afterall

Many of the media were rooting for the Preds because they love working games in Nashville. They wanted to keep the party going.

It still feels like a fantasy come to life. What a truly wonderful time for my hometown, I'm so happy for everyone back in Winnipeg. No city takes more crap than Winnipeg, a little bit of spotlight is well deserved.

I was really surprised that the Preds took it to 7, chalk it down to the youth of the Jets. They will have to be more ruthless against Vegas.

I would have put Rinne back in after the first. Confidence in your backup is nice but this game 7 to go to the semis those first two were stinkers but I think a redemption seeking Rinne is better than a cold nervous Saros.

Would have liked to see the Preds win it all.

No it doesn’t work like that. Check the save percentages from Pitt round 1.

You don’t win or lose by save percentage or corsi, you win if you score more goals than the other team, and you lose if you don’t.

That’s the only way games are won and lost.

How often does this ever happen in the NHL? It’s damn near never. Why would anyone start doing this in a game 7?
Bizzar comment

Is that you Craig Simpson?

Hughson creamed himself in 2011 when the Canucks made it to rounds 3 and 4, the Canucks are his favourite team. The Habs are his 2nd team, then the Leafs.

Good for you Winnipeg! You've got Canada behind you.
Yep, the Jets are Canada's team.

Man did patience pay off for Sakic in that trade. 3 assists for Turris in the playoffs, he was awful. Senators lose the trade, Preds lose the trade bad. Jets win the cup i think.

Josi, Ellis, and Turris specifically were huge disappointments. It's one thing for them to not be able to step up their play in the playoffs but they played a few notches below their play in the regular season which is inexcusable.

Man Simpson and Hughson are pretty weak. Not Paul Romanuk levels but still.
