If Roma could somehow get a 2nd here that would make the 2nd leg interesting.

Holy #### almost another for Roma. Liverpool horrific since Salah went off.

Not really sure what Roma was doing in their tactics.

So much room and space in that back right for Salah - Liverpool were pretty much just chipping long balls over the top into that back right channel and he was running on to them wide open.

Umm maybe you should put a guy over there.

Based off the 4-0 deficit Liverpool have had the last two matches when Salah went off, he really should be asking for £500,000 a week.

Unbelievable that they played so high.

Absolute insanity that they did nothing to try and change it after HT after getting burned on repetitively.

Left back was doing his best Ashley Young from Saturday impression pressing when he had no business doing so.

That was wild, what a game. Sucks to give 2 away at the end, but we should still have plenty enough to get theough.

What I'm hoping Klopp is saying is: This is exactly what happened with Barcelona.

They took a big first-leg win with an away-goal against and ended up losing in Rome.

Dont fall for the same script.

And hopefully he realizes Ings isn't quite as good as Salah.

Mostly Liverpool just need to not sit back, which is what Barca did wrong. Liverpool are exceptional in attack, but they still can be gotten at if you attack them. Treat it like it's 0-0 and they'll have no problems.

Salah becomes the first player to score 2 goals and 2 assists in the CL, Firmino then became the second 7 minutes later.

Amazing how firmino has developed into such a beastly no.9, just amazing his development from his time at Hoffenheim to now. No idea who Brazil goes with in the World Cup. I would’ve been fine with just one decent striker after Fred but I now feel spoiled by having to chose between Jesus and Firmino. I’d probably go with Firmino at this point, 100% deserves it after this season. Salah and Firmino both on 10 CL goals, last two players to do that were Messi and Neymar. Their relationship on the field is incredible and they’ve only played with each other for 1 season. Firmino is only 26 Salah is 25, if Salah stays I think Liverpool are set for the next 5-7 Year’s. This Salah-Firmino combo neeeeds to stay alive, their understanding of each other is not normal.

Thing is Liverpool can sit back and still be a threat on the counter, Barcelona rarely ever plays counterattacking football and without Neymar this year they have struggled mightily in this aspect. Liverpool can sit back and counter with 3 different outlets who can ran directly at a defense. Neymar’s absence and Suarez’s dramatic drop in form allowed Roma to take over when Barca sat back as there was zero threat of a counter outside of Messi, who happened to play his worst game of the season.

Liverpool should still be able to score 2-3 goals at least in Rome imo, their counter attack is just far too deadly especially when Roma begins to become desperate.

Boateng too now. Sule on to replace him. This is going poorly

Thankfully Kimmich put them up 1-0

Theory: Navas is a secret agent working for the other Premier League teams to ensure Madrid take De Gea.
