The correct answer is usually the most obvious:

Just like the Oilers not filling up the beer cups, they also don't put enough salt on their fries.

Look at this smug nose picking purist right here!

"You can wipe it on a jacket, but you shan't give it a chew!"

Teach me your ways, nose picker.

Seems like as good a place as any to post this.

You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose. But you can't pick your friend's nose.

You can take it one step further. I believe there's a video (TSN shows it) of some guy at a MLB game that picks his nose and wipes it on the head of the person sitting in front of him. That's a d-bag move but it's easier to surmise why people can be d-bags over why an adult would put that in their mouths.

Who does the two day break benefit more?

I would argue the Ducks. This gives them lots of time to build mental health, watch tape, get healthy.

I am not sure if two days will hurt the Oilers though. This might also give them some healing time. I think that this will be a true test of mental strength for the Oilers. It is easy to relax on a break after dominating.

What does the CP hive mind think?

Ducks start slow, get behind early, stage a comeback, win in regulation. Go on to lose to Nashville in 4.

The extra time could give the ducks more time to think about all their game 7 failures and could get in their heads.

Oilers could relax, and is worrisome, but after losing 7-0 to SJ they won both games to take the series, so they could remember that.

All in all I think the break helps both teams refocus.

I think the game will come down to talbot vs Gibson and RNH line vs Thompson line.

think the break doesn't favor one team over the other. they could both use the extra day of rest.

both teams appear to be pretty mentally strong. ducks for their constant comebacks, especially game 5. oilers for not folding like a cheap tent in game 6.

I wonder what the Klefbom injury is. Where the slapshot hit, maybe a cracked collarbone?

Mental strength is the name of the game come game 7. Both teams have skill, and both teams are banged up. Who wants it more. I think that the 2 day break amplifies who is soft and who is strong.

disagree. it's a component, but if you come up short in a game 7 I don't think it means you're mentally soft.
sometimes the body isn't willing not matter how much you want it.

I don't think the sharks were soft and mentally weak against the oilers last series. I just think they were injured and physically spent. they had nothing left to give.

So hard to say. So many wild momentum shifts in this series. Each game is a fresh start and nothing seems to carry over from one game to the next, even one period to the next.

I assume Gibson will bounce back. I think the Ducks will to exorcise their game 7 demons will be a major factor. I'm expecting a Ducks win but will be happy to be proven wrong.

No matter what happens in the game, I hope that Oiler intern and part time fan boy Ron MacLean stops focusing on one team so much...

Its game 7; anything can happen. Obvies "go ducks go".

Anaheim comes out strong, they basically up their physical game and they get some breaks.

At the end of the first period they're up 10-0.

Then McDavid scores and Ron McLean has a stroke (and not the medical type) . "Cue the comeback" he screams Its the miracle of Mallotville.

Then Getzlaf puts up two more goals which makes him an ace (5 goals in a game). The game is stopped as the president gives him the MOH.

Kassian runs around like an idiot until one of the ducks rips his beard out and then slaps him with a hand fool of Aqua Velvet. The last we see of him he's screaming as he runs out of the rink.

The Oilers waive the White Flag as the ducks put up another 8 goals in the third period to win 21-1.

In the handshake line McDavid cries. Lucic takes forever to skate from player to player because you know, slow.

Meanwhile in the guest owners booth Karen Lowe finds a exceedingly tasty little nugget that she gleefully eats.

Even more ideal scenario:

Ducks start fast, get ahead early, add to lead and embarrass Oilers.

Well..not quite.

A lot of the Oilers will be playing with one arm.

Much like their fans, the other arm will be patting themselves on the back for game 6.

Wait, would they not pick their noses with the other arm?
