The top of the line up really messed up the Red Sox today. 9 for 13.

The Toronto Blue Jays have reportedly agreed to sign the year’s top international prospect.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. agreed to a deal with the Blue Jays that includes a $4.1 million bonus, Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reported Thursday.
Guerrero, a 16-year-old outfielder who’s the son of longtime Montreal Expos star Vladimir Guerrero, has tremendous power and hitting ability, though he doesn’t appear to have inherited his father’s remarkable throwing arm and could end up as a first baseman rather than an outfielder.

Does he have his old mans ability to hit anything that's within a foot of the outside extremeities of the strike zone? I can't think of too many other guys who were free swingers like Vladimir Guerrero who could hit 35-40 homeruns, yet strikeout fewer than 100 times a season.

Ugly start for Boyd. Four batters up, 4 straight hits, 4-0 Sox. Ortiz just hit a 3 run shot.

6 straight hits. What's the record to start a game?

Just need to hold the Sox to nine runs or less and we'll still be in this...

Hey a walk! At least it wasn't a hit! First seven batters get on base. Boyd gets the hook.

He does have the ability to golf it like his father. Vlad Sr. thinks his son is better than he was at the same age.

Blue Jays Stats@Blue_JaysStats
Matt Boyd is the 1st #BlueJays SP in 25 years to not record an out and allow at least 5 runs in a start. (Dave Stieb-June 25th, 1990)
