They have also been reported that they are willing to move one of their many defensemen. If they acquire Myers they can flip one of them to get a forward.

Northend sorry but you are probably the only person on earth who would consider moving McDavid for Kane.. Instant firing.

I heard that. They've said that, but they havent done anything. And you'd think they wouldnt be interested in another defenceman.

ya but for a guy who has 'issues' with his current team, and a powerful agent in Don Meehan
I don't think any teams that aren't explicitly told he would be happy to play there will give up a lot for him, which is why the price drops IMO

Many, if not most NHL players do not enjoy the limelight of Canadian markets. The Hockey News had an article about the Kings after their second Cup win, and Doughty complained that after their first Cup the Kings players started to get recognized around town and attract a lot more media attention, so they couldn't live in anonymity any more. He basically said it sucked, and compared it to living in a Canadian market (which by implication, he also felt would suck).
But what does Drew Doughty know about winning, eh?

So Chevy wants a prospect and a 1st for an injured, selfish and overall bad attitude 23 year old?
Yet Lance Bouma, a 24 year old 4th liner, who has the exact opposite attitude from Kane, and will do absolutely everything necessary to win a hockey game no matter his role or paycheck, would probably only get a 3rd pick.
And don't start with the "Evander Kane might change his attitude" "He's still got good potential". I get that Bouma hasn't been good in other years but he was never supposed to be. He just does his job. This post isn't to praise Bouma, it's to show that Kane IS NOT worth a 1st and a prospect. He doesn't deserve the money from the Jets nor any NHL team for that matter.

Please Mr. T.... stay as far away from Evander Kane. It seems like some of us here in CP always wanted a player with bad attitudes or not wanted by their team. Semin, Mike Richards, Chris Stewart and Evander Kane. Adding one of these players will disrupt what Hartley and Giordano worked hard for. Flames might not be the most talented team in the NHL but at least they play like a team and no individual player are more important than anyone.

I could see the Jets flipping Kane for Myers then trading Bogosian for a forward. Would like Bogo on the Flames

Please people... just stop with the lets trade so and so for Kane talk.
Its making me nauseous! Just the thought of having Kane in our dressing room makes me want to vomit.
And stop with the Kane just didn't develop in the right environment in his early years talk. With the right people around him he can turn it around...
The jerk has serious character flaws. He probably had them before he became a pro and they've probably gotten worse the more famous he's become and the more money he makes.
There's probably a pretty good reason(s) why none of his teammates like him. We don't need a cancer like Kane in the Flames dressing room. We've come a long ways in the past 2 years and it only takes one bad apple to spoil the barrel.

Like the post above Flames want nothing to do with Evander ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME ME Kane. He is a true cancer and not the character player you want with this young team. He has never played 80 games in his 6 NHL seasons, has serious attitude issues and has been a minus player in 5 of his 6 seasons. He is averaging .61 pts per game in his career and his best season was 4 seasons ago and he gets tonnes of PP time. Guy is enormously overrated and can't stay healthy.

I'm not down with trading for Kane. But if you are not in favour of a trade you don't need to come into this thread and tell people not to talk about it. No one's forcing you to look inside the thread.
You're acting like a ######bag vegetarian going into a steakhouse and telling people to stop eating meat because it makes you nauseous.

So you are ready to guarantee that McDavid will be better than Kane?
Which he could be, or he could be the same, or he could be worse.
Would a good gm not think about almost any trade and how it could affect his team?

Actually this thread started out being about what a ######bag Kane is (which I enjoyed reading about because he really is a ######bag) and then it kind of morphed into a "lets do a trade for the ######bag" thread (which started to make me nauseous).

I guarantee you that McDavid is five years younger than Kane and plays centre.

I'm not who you were talking to, but yes. I will personally guarantee McDavid will be infinitely better than Kane.
I will lick white dog crap like Will Ferrell in Step Brothers if I'm wrong.

I think Kane needs to be in Vancouver (have his parents keep him grounded), or places like Detroit, Boston, and Philadelphia.

Both players are actually quite comparable, statistically speaking.
Evander Kane was 17 years old the year he was drafted, and he posted 48g and 96 points in 61 games for the Vancouver Giants that year. That's 1.57 pts/game. Bennett (also 17 years old) scored 36g and 91 points in 57 games for the Frontenac last year—an output of 1.6 pts/game. Both players also showed similar levels of improvement from their first full season in Juniour, and interestingly, both were also very close in size at the draft (Kane was listed as 6'1", 182 lbs). But unlike Kane who played a few games as a 15-year-old, Bennett made his Juniour debut at age 16.
Another thing to consider here are relative elements for each player in their draft years: Kane played for a powerhouse Giants team that finished second in the WHL and advanced to round #3 in the playoffs. Bennett's Frontenac were a middling playoff team last year that lost in the first round. Also, Kane was not the top scoring player for his team, and finished 19 points behind Casey Pierro-Zabotel that year. Bennett was not only his team's leading scorer, he was pretty much the sole focus of Kingston's total offense, finishing 21 points ahead of their #2 scorer. Add to that the fact that he put up the numbers he did while playing with a bad shoulder.
I expect that the Flames would agree with me, and feel it necessary to take the chance to see how good Bennett can be.
