Them two lost points lie squarely on Van Gaal. He killed all momentum with his switches.
Young creating mayhem down the LW and he switches him to the right? Brings on Di Maria for RvP when they had the game by the throat and then brings on James Wilson ?
Meanwhile Mata plays the full 90?
Worrying in that he was going for it but his tactical switches killed the game. And I don't know what it is why Januzaj isn't getting any sort of a look in.

it looks like Pardew is leaving Newcastle in order to become the new Crystal Palace manager (they fired Warnock the other day). Candidates for the Newcastle job are Steve Bruce, Christophe Galtier, Tony Pulis and Tim Sherwood, according to the Telegraph.

Alan Pardew is set to become the new Crystal Palace manager after they agreed a compensation package with Newcastle United thought to be worth around £2.5m, with Steve Bruce the early front-runner to replace him at St James’ Park.
Pardew has decided to take on the challenge of keeping Palace in the Premier League as he feels he will never win back the support of the majority of Newcastle supporters and is fed up with being ignored when it comes to player recruitment.
Telegraph Sport has been told Newcastle are also considering appointing a foreign manager for the first time under Ashley. Saint Etienne manager Christophe Galtier has been linked with the job in the past.
The final straw for Pardew is thought to have come when Ashley informed him that his request for a new striker in January had been turned down.
The 53-year-old was the fourth longest serving manager in the country, but has been unpopular on Tyneside for much of the last 12 months after a series of lengthy slumps in form.
I heard the reports and was wondering why he would leave the Toon. Quite interesting.

He's a Palace legend as a player and the Newcastle fans have been crapping on him most of the year - also he has a pretty huge transfer budget in January as they have spent very little money in their year and half in the premier league. I know he's no world beater but that is really good news for Palace to get it done quickly and get someone experienced in, their earlier job hunt after Pulis walked out at the 11th hour was a comedy, they focused on Mackay and backed out after it came out that he is a racist but had alienated Sherwood who removed himself from contention.
And even if they head down, which could very well happen, I've heard he committed to stay with the club in the championship which is vital - Warnock is almost 70 and he would have been gone and abandoned that fight.
Plus Warnock was such a bad manager, all good for Palace.

Theres a bunch of 'well connected Geordies' that work near me that have told me a crapload of rumours about Pardew relating to the real reason he got his insanely long contract and why he could never be sacked at Newcastle.
So he must have sorted most of that out, but I imagine that we can expect Newcastle to win a few more games if/when he leaves.
